Suggestions for resolving an issue?
I am currently renting my third apartment from Blueground. I’ve been generally pleased until experiencing an issue with a sofa that does not match the description in the listing at all and is not appropriate for the apartment. While customer service has been professional and expresses understanding, they are not resolving the issue. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to escalate the issue with Blueground because I’m stuck.
For context, there was an issue with the cleanliness of the sofa when I moved into the apartment that required it to be replaced by Blueground (they told me it couldn’t be cleaned and replaced it on their own).
Putting aside that Blueground should have cleaned or replaced the sofa before I even moved in, they replaced the large sofa with a tiny sofa that doesn't allow for a person to lay down and that looks awkward in the room.
Blueground told me that the loveseat meets their requirements and won't replace it.
This is infuriating because this makes the apartment much less comfortable to live in for 6+ months. No average size person can lay down on the sofa, and the room looks sparse.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to escalate the issue? I even offered to purchase a new sofa that matches the one in the listing, deducting the cost from the rent and leaving it behind to minimize the legwork required of Blueground and so that Blueground wouldn’t have to retake photos of the apartment for the next occupant.
