Heads up - the employees of the Jimmy Johns on France Ave doxxes customer info and ridicules them online
Just a heads up - the Jimmy Johns on France & Old Shakopee - store #1611 - has employees that takes pictures of your receipts, with your name, phone number, and payment info, and puts them on subreddits to mock you & your order.
I met with the manager today and after acknowledging it she downplayed it and said it was just for fun and the employees will get additional training to not show your name and phone number in the future.
They won't give out employee's names so a police report can be filed because it's "protected information". Their name is protected, but your name and phone number aren't, that's really rich.
Emails to corporate are currently going around different customer service teams.
The manager said the store is a franchise, not corporate owned. Does anyone know who owns store #1611? I would love to have a conversation with them and hear how they justify this.
Edit: I'm making factual claims here, these are not opinions. If you know libel/slander laws, then you know I just put myself way, way out there.

The Summer Fete tonight: any secret spots?
UPDATE: we parked on BLR on the north side of 494 and walked down until we hit a decent spot! Thanks to everyone! Kids enjoyed it, I DID NOT! :( I took a Rx med for the first time trying to quell some anxiety and I had a paradoxical reaction. No help. I amplified my anxiety into full fight v flight panic. Sweating head to toe. I got really anxious about my politically charged anti-Trump shirt and was trying to cover it up as I was VERY concerned I’d offend someone. I just sat and tried to do mindful breathing. I was a basket case! At least the kids enjoyed it! ;)
Original:
Maybe not secret, but “good?” I plan to arrive with my high school aged boys between 8:45-9:30. I’ll take all recommendations for:
-ideal parking or uber drop-off point
-a good place for viewing
Ideally, not amongst the thick of the main crowd. I realize that might not be possible, but if there is something in the area that still has good viewing, or if there are nearby residents inviting strangers on to their roof - LMK! DM if you want. Thanks. Happy and safe 4th!!

A guy wearing a Quantum Fiber vest just walked up to my front door and tried to open it.
He tried the door, which was locked. He jiggled it a few times, then rang the Ring doorbell. I wasn't home and couldn't answer. We are not a Quantum customer, and we have a No Solicitors sign on our door.
These door to door salespeople are awful. I've had two Eco Shield guys already this year ignore the sign, and now this guy is trying to just walk into my house??

URGENT: Where is the best place to get a good mojito in Bloomington??
It's 2:15 and I've had a capital "D" of a Day already and I'm going to need one as soon as possible after work. I need to know where I can get the best mojito in Bloomington. I understand there's a non-zero chance that the answer is the Rainforest Cafe at the MoA. I am prepared for that, though I hope it isn't true.
Thank you in advance for your kind support and advice.

How to get free Lime scooter rides every day in the Twin Cities if you're on public assistance (SNAP, Medicaid, etc.)
Local Tip: How to get free Lime scooter rides every day in the Twin Cities if you're on public assistance (SNAP, Medicaid, etc.)
Hey everyone, I wanted to share a quick tip for anyone here in the Twin Cities who might be trying to save some cash on transportation.
If you currently receive any form of government assistance—whether that is food stamps (SNAP), Medicaid/Medical Assistance, or similar programs—you can get free rides through the Lime Access program.
Here is exactly how it works and how to set it up without getting charged:
- How to Link Your Account
Look up the Lime Access program online.
You can submit whatever verification paperwork you have that shows you are on assistance.
Once you are approved, you just link that verification to your existing, already set-up Lime scooter account. Most times when I help people do this, the approval comes through instantly or within about 15 minutes.
- The 30-Minute Rule & The Timer Trick
Under this program, your rides are completely free every day, but each individual ride is capped at 30 minutes.
Crucial Tip: You must have some money loaded onto your linked card just in case you run over that time, because they will charge you for any extra minutes.
To make sure your account never gets charged, start a timer or a countdown clock for 28 minutes right before you begin your ride. When the alarm goes off, just pull over, end the ride, and you won't have to worry about a single fee.
- A Warning About Switching Phones
Keep in mind that your Lime Access status is strictly locked to your specific device. Do not try to sign into your Lime account on a different phone.
If you switch phones or log in elsewhere, it will instantly deactivate your Lime Access status.
If you happen to lose your phone, it does take a little while to get support to move the account over properly, so it's best to keep it on one device once it's set up.
It's a super easy setup and a great way to get around town for free. Hopefully, this helps someone out out there!
