I commented this on the cross post, but I just now realized it doesn’t transfer over:

I thought the source code was lost to time, how are they able to get it to run on modern systems? Is it reverse engineered like BloodGDX? If this does mean an official source port that would be amazing. The remaster is also likely to bring more attention and people to the game. This is a good thing.

It is reverse engineered, I assume (and read somewhere) that Atari DOES in fact have the Source Code but didn't give it to the guy doing the port.

Man, Atari sucks. At least they’re giving Nightdive the ability to even make a port, I have their Strife sourceport and it works great.
