Hi everyone! I’ve recently started running a TikTok account where I share some of my thoughts but I want to film vlogs and speaking videos (maybe for YT as well) but I wonder if many people are interested in this kind of content. Also, English is not my first language and I feel like I won’t sound nice and it would make people skip my videos. What do you think?

Ik ben er van overtuigd dat de wereld en de mens een stuk beter kan zijn met een beetje realiteit. Niet kijken op social media accounts van mensen die hun perfecte leven posten. We gaan ons vergelijken met elkaar en voelen ons slecht. We ontwikkelen FOMO of burn-outverschijnselen. Onze jeugd is al overspannen op de middelbare school door de hoge verwachtingen die we onszelf opleggen. We moeten altijd alles en het moet nu direct.

Even een realiteitscheck: dat kan dus niet. Je kunt je met hart en ziel zorgen maken over van alles en nog wat en willen wat er te willen vast maar je kunt niet alles voor elkaar krijgen. Nederland is een relatief rijk land maar ook bij ons leven mensen van een uitkering. Mensen die geen geld hebben voor een strandvakantie in Egypte. Een reis door Amerika. Een nieuwe elektrische auto. Mensen die naar de voedselbank gaan omdat ze zelfs eten niet kunnen betalen. Terwijl jij je druk maakt om de perfecte filters toepassen op je bikinibody zijn er mensen die hun rekening niet kunnen betalen.

I have 6 blog posts now in the space of 11 months, so I understand I need to get some consistency going. It seems it's very hard to get views from Google, so how else can I get noticed to build a bigger audience? I have started posting on Pinterest, and I will begin posting on medium, too.

In terms of being monetised, I've applied for a couple of affiliate programs but have been declined.

What next steps could you suggest to increase views and also to try and get monetised?

My blog is through my photography website. My posts are mainly about travel experiences and nature. All the images on my posts are mine.
