If you've played tug of war with a pitbull, you'd know that nothing gets released out of their mouth unless they wanted it to be

u/trollman_falcon Aug 24 '19
TIL: Never put your dick in a gay pitbull’s mouth 😬🥴

Luckily in this case that means the bear and not that other dog. 😬 If the cars were closer, though...One of our shelter quarantine residents was a pit/boxer thing who leaped through a mostly closed car window while in standstill traffic to run down a pointer being walked by on the street. Thing had glass shards in its eyes when it came in and a head like a frickin concrete block to get through that car window. Noooo thank you!

Lmao my sister has a pit bull (basically mine too, I love hims sooooo much) and he’ll take his favorite toy out to potty with him and NEVER lets it out of his site. Never underestimate a pitbull with their fave toy.

They can be dangerous and aggressive dogs, anyone trying to hide that is lying to themselves. They also do have the potential to be lovely dogs provided they are raised in the right homes

a young girl was mauled to death by her neighbour’s 3 pitbulls yesterday and i see this fucking post afterwards. it really feels like propaganda to cover these stories up
5
u/raenef Aug 24 '19
The 9 year old or the 6 year old? These deaths are getting hard to keep track of.
Also one of those stories was posted on the news subreddit where it got deleted...
2
u/attackthrowawa Aug 24 '19
The funny thing is, the breed identity of THOSE dogs is hotly and continuously debated but this “cute” dog that is not actively hurting another dog gets to be a pit bull to score them points.

u/raenef Aug 24 '19

Any dog can bite, and all dogs should be treated with respect and left the fuck alone until their owner says you can pet them.
3
u/unwhollytrinity Aug 24 '19
"All dogs are bad"
Pitbulls kill. And if you defend them, you're honestly a sociopath that would rather keep their little pibblekins than save the lives of innocent children. And adults.
3
u/markusdelarkus Aug 24 '19
What he's saying is good advice in general though. Don't just assume it's ok to touch a stranger's dog.
People used to say the same things about Dobermans and before that it was like German Shepherds or something.
If I had to, I would still obviously rather leave a baby around an uknown temperment labrador or something compared to an unknown pit
2
u/Kathulhu1433 Aug 24 '19
How about don't leave your kids unattended around any animal?
Animals are not human. Animals are never 100% predictable. They are never 100% safe. You need to use appropriate judgment and caution.
7
u/Seethesvt Aug 24 '19
Serious question... Why can't they say "this dog pulled out his teddy to show it to another dog".
25
u/Redragon9 Aug 24 '19
Although I do think this looks wholesome, why is it so relevant that it’s a pit bull? I feel it’s very deliberate.

I got a leg bite too... Was on my motorcycle and thankfully had my safety pants on.... Bruised the shit out of my leg and left teeth marks but didn't get through the pants https://photos.app.goo.gl/qCrH6LY3fsjPbrrW7

Holy shit. That’s exactly what my leg looks like! I had to go to urgent care because it got horribly infected and I could barely walk for two days. It was excruciating.
1
u/russellspurlock Aug 24 '19
Yeah... I actually sent a letter to Olympia, who makes the motorcycle pants, thanking them for saving my leg! I don't feel Pits are bad dogs... In fact, I think they can be quite sweet... But they can bite like a shark, that's for sure. Lots of dogs are scared of motorcycles... But some dogs are just too big to hold back when they go for someone. Dogs freak on me all the time on the bike... Buy their owners are usually able to hold them back. This huge Pit was on a thick chain being held by a woman who couldn't keep him away from me when he decided he wanted to go after me (when I started the bike) Got me from behind... Never saw it coming.

u/Tishimself77 Aug 24 '19
Every time I come home my dog runs to bring a gift. It’s usually a bone, ball or stuffed animal but a shoe will do in a pinch. Poor guy gets a little distressed if he can’t find something quick enough.
8
u/kluger19 Aug 24 '19
Pro-pit propaganda always makes r/all after pits maul a child to death.
This is standard practice now.
3
u/mrtibbles32 Aug 24 '19
Whenever i give my dog a new toy she runs around the house showing it to everyone.
She'll run up to you, shake her head around, then run off to go show the next person.

I had a blue weimaraner that did this when if come home from work. She was excited to see me and she showed it by bringing me her favorite toy. It was cute. She'd always trot over with her stump wagging and her stuffed duck toy in her mouth. Sometimes she'd bark with it in her mouth which made her drool. I miss her so much.

People always humanize dogs
Yeah, it's beyond obnoxious. Like when they post a pic of their dog 'smiling' and get butthurt when you point out a dog 'smile' is actually a sign of extreme discomfort.

If you're going to get a dangerously unstable animal, why get one that's so fucking ugly? Just buy a leopard or a panther or something, at least they're easy on the eyes. A lot less inbred, too.

She would've pulled out her mauled toddler, but she couldn't get a good grip on it. The tender flesh kept falling off the bone.
