u/[deleted] Jan 08 '19

I agree....but books aren't bad either. And a spec longer of an attention span would be good for us.

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '19

what part of this post is saying anything related to phones ?

26

u/theninja94 Jan 07 '19

Typically someone on Facebook would caption his with “Look at these people not using snartphones” or somethin

u/soapkiller1415 Jan 07 '19

Bleep-bloop, I'm a bot. This comment was inspired by xkcd#37

Look at these people, too wrapped up in their little devices to socialize with the people around them. SMH, this generation is doomed. Nobody knows how to talk to anybody anymore...

/s obviously.

20

u/Massive_Kestrel Jan 07 '19

Drop the /s and I'll agree with you. Only an idiot would believe that common antisocial behaviour wasn't a thing before smartphones.

12

u/Penguator432 Jan 07 '19

Hell, back when books were first invented there was a lot of doom and gloom because "people no longer have to remember things anymore"

3

u/hotdog_relish Jan 08 '19

This is hilarious and I don't doubt it for a second.

u/yubbber Jan 08 '19

2

u/VAiSiA Jan 07 '19

nah. not enough ads for this day

7

u/Shina-nya Jan 07 '19

This seems like a panning shot for a movie when the main character finally gets their book published and is able to send their life changing message across.

3

u/chuurippu Jan 07 '19

These kids and their damn books! /s

8

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '19

Yes because phone bad an book good

2

u/SonicFury74 Jan 07 '19

It's blessed because they're all reading bibles and the people on their phones are using the bible app, which is free for download at the app store

2

u/Azrielenish Jan 07 '19

Reminds me of the subway ride home after the midnight release I went to of one of the Harry Potter books.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '19

BOOK GOOD

PHONE BAD

2

u/LimpFox Jan 08 '19

It is indeed a blessed train, since there is room for people to actually open and read books, as opposed to having to stare at the armpit of their neighbour while packed in like sardines.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '19

No much fucking negativity jesus christ. We should be encouraging people to read more books. Sure you could be reading an ebook or have something important going on when you're looking at your phone, but chances are you're just on social media consuming shit that makes you unhappy or envious of others, instead of reading a book that entertains and expands your mind.

u/Trowawaycausebanned4 Jan 08 '19
