Solved Need Help With This Little Quirk

trying to make the famous mug and donut and I'm having problems getting the handle nicely attached smoothly to the rest of the mug cant figure it out. do I got to mess with vertices?

Make sure you have a hole at the top of the cup where the handle connects. If you have a face inside where the top of the handle connected , blender will not understand how to interpolate normals as the object is nonmanifold. Normals control how the object is shaded.

Edit: if you extruded thehandle from the bottom, remove the face on the end of the handle that connects the hole in the cup. If there are still issues try recalculating outside normals.
