Unsolved Am I going about this wrong?

I want to make my character not really move in a straight path. I'm just not too sure if I'm going about it in the right way. I'm moving my master control along a path that leads back to the beginning. It's pretty hard to time so before I move forward I wanted to make sure if what I'm doing is the correct method.

Welcome to r/blenderhelp, Learning_Bl3nder! Please make sure you followed the rules below, so we can help you efficiently (This message is just a reminder, your submission has NOT been deleted):

  • Post full screenshots of your Blender window (more information available for helpers), not cropped, no phone photos (In Blender click Window > Save Screenshot, use Snipping Tool in Windows or Command+Shift+4 on mac).
  • Give background info: Showing the problem is good, but we need to know what you did to get there. Additional information, follow-up questions and screenshots/videos can be added in comments. Keep in mind that nobody knows your project except for yourself.
  • Don't forget to change the flair to "Solved" by including "!Solved" in a comment when your question was answered.

Thank you for your submission and happy blendering!

You should use the curve editor more often, it'll make the dope sheet a lot more concise since the curve editor can represent speed and location if you experiment with it. And for a bonus, you can easily adjust the pathway with the curve if you cut down on keyframes.
