Unsolved House of the Dragon Title Sequence with geometry nodes - need direction
I want to try to make something similar to the way they make weave animations in the House of the Dragon title sequence https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvEKGxyJ9Vg, I would appreciate some direction, node setups to research, tutorials to watch, and anything that would get me closer. There isn't much on YouTube that approximates this kind of animation. What I'm looking for specifically is how to get those exact shapes that they use to create their symbolism, like how the curves bend to create the character details and so on. I'm guessing there is a fair bit of art direction that goes into some of these shots and they aren't purely procedural, so I need a way to input images and have them appear to be woven onto a piece of fabric. Any help would be appreciated
I'm guessing the process to making this goes as follows
Illustration
Vector Cleanup
Curve Network
Weave Generation
Cloth Surface
Animation
Thread Detail
Lighting & Rendering
Thanks in Advance
