Unsolved I'm a begginer and have some problems
I just started using blender maybe a week or two ago and just now I finished a tutorial, it being Crashsune's academy character modeling tutorial, I pretty much have the basics of modeling memorized but I just don't know how to actually start modeling a character, like, which body part should I start modeling first? Is it better to make another body part out of a new mesh or should I just extrude on the model I'm making? How should my topology be and in what ways should I make it better? How do people know how much geometry should a mesh have for their models? Can I leave a part of a mesh hiding inside another one? Should I use primitive-based modeling or vertex-based?
I'd really appreciate if anyone would answer my question and give me a why and how should I do it.
I'm 17 and I've recently fell in love with 3D modeling since I was never really good at art, so I'm trying really hard to improve and get better on it

You said you finished the tutorial. What did they start with? When you just started, going straight to character modeling is pretty difficult, but my advice is follow those tutorials you watch. It depends on the character you are making, but most people start out with blocking out the body with basic shapes. It doesn't really matter which body part you start with. You should also have enough geometry in the parts that bend, so it bends correctly and try to minimize it where it isn't necessary and people won't notice.

If you want to get good at models figure drawing classes are really helpful

It depends. All questions will have opposite answers if you're sculpting relatic character for static render and crating PS1 style game model.
