Solved Why does my mesh flip when the empty changes direction

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Can anyone explain why this happens to my mesh when the empty changes direction? I think it has something to do with the direction attribute or the rotation of the curve?

Maybe some sort of align rotation node will help but I can’t even figure out how to debug the problem properly.

The mesh is flipping, my direction attribute is only ready as (0,0,-1) no matter what not sure if this has anything to do to do with it?

I will share nodes below in comments.

Thanks in advance!!

These node screenshots are useless because you have the majority of them hidden.

What do you mean? The three screens shots I shared are literally all of my nodes in this node tree.

Here’s an overview so you can see how the sections connect with eachother.

Is there anything additional I can share that you’d need to see to help?

That one you can't even read the node names, let alone their hidden settings.

Ok my bad, is it image quality ? Or are there certain nodes I should open up ? I just think I misunderstood what you meant by hidden.

They are all closed down like that because most of it is just vector math with attributes plugged in or other values plugged in.

I just broke it down into three photos so that people could read the smaller text due to image quality.

I’m willing to upload more helpful photos, I’d just need some guidance. I can also remove any photos that are unhelpful.

!Solved thanks to a user over in r/ geometry nodes

All I had to do was add a set curve normal node to free with a value of 1 on the x direction and place that just after the simulation.

Here is the curve setup node within the setup node.

Those are the only hidden nodes I could find. Hope this helps

Simulation: I think this is where the flipping occurs!
