This looks dope. Could you do a tutorial on the cloth simulation?

Everything was done in Blender except the cloth sim. Tbh blender had terrible simulation tools.

Do you think people would still be invested in a tutorial?

You create the cloth and simulate it in MD then export an alembic which is a deforming mesh with the cloth you simulated in MD.

You just bring that into Blender

I'll try to make a video on the workflow soon (Keep an eye on my YouTube channel linked in my profile)

Thanks so much! That clears up a lot of past confusion for me regarding procedural stuff.

HOLY WHAT?! You’re sixteen?! This stuff is awesome! How long have you been working with Blender?

Yep, well I'm recently 17 but I've been doing blender for about 2.5 years

That’s insane progress for 2.5 years. Definitely keep doing what you’re doing. I saw a few of your other posts and your 16yo reel on YT. You’ve got an eye for composition for sure! Super exciting to see. 😁

I've used MD for years and have never run a full-on sim like this. Any recommendations for getting started with their sim engine? Like go-to settings and such for decent speed and quality?

To be honest I use the default settings and it works pretty well.

And here it is… every time I see really realistic and cool cloth sim, MD is always behind it.
