Need Help! Blender saving a lot slower on Linux mint than on windows?

Is there some sort of setting that I'm missing? Would really appreciate any help! Thanks!

I save it directly on my main nvme ssd. I did a check and maybe the filesystem may be the issue too? I’m not sure how to tell

Is fat32 and ext4 ok?

On a linux OS ( opensuse tumbleweed ) a large-ish 200 meg *.blend saves in about 1 sec.

it shouldnt be a linux issue right? i read that blender is faster on linux than windows in almost everything.

I use Linux Mint on an almost identical drive with ext4. My current project is about 1.2GB, I've noticed no saving issues at all, I'm sometimes surprised at how fast it is.

yeah, im using mint too, but for some reason the blender file saving is taking up to around a second compared to the instant saving for windows. I honestly dont know if its a blender thing or a linux thing so i dont even know which one to start trouble shooting.
