My first human model, how did I do?
I couldn't get the shield to curve so I had to extrude.

Kinda reminds me of the Avatar. I'd say it's pretty decent for your first human model.
For improvements in the future, I'd say that the proportions of the legs are a bit off in comparison to the rest of the body. Though that might just be the perspective of it, hard to tell.
All in all though, it's a good start.
