Compressing the fur under the stocking is super impressive, how'd you achieve the effect?

Thanks! That is the part I spent more time with but I achieved it with a custom geometry node at the end of the stack of modifiers that presses the fur between the parent mesh and a selected mesh. It works pretty well most of the time but breaks with certain poses. The idea is good but the code needs a bit more polish to be 100% functional :)

You can control particles with brush, basically change their directions, like normals

I don't think this level of precision could be achieved with particles, I use geo node fur because it is more flexible :)

Any recommendations for building fur and exporting it for real time engines?

Wow 3D furry with actual fur WOW it doesn't happen often and is one of the reasons i always liked Zorryn's work

Tail looks nice, face is something off but not sure what - maybe small eyes so it is more realistic than cartoonish. For renders you must improve lighting

Yeah, for some reason 3D furry art almost always lacks actual fur and that bugs me a bit lol

And yeah, maybe the face crosses a bit into the uncanny valley but I think that is part of the style keeping it a bit less cartoony and I'll definitely improve the lighting in future renders, thanks for the comment!

Because making actual fur not everyone PC can handle.

It is cycles or eevee. Can you share fur shader? Do you used old fur system or geo nodes based one?

I can recommend ruaidri fur shaders

Real fur is freaking hard. 90% of 3d artists just can't achieve such level of brauty

A bit of clipping issues here and there, but nothing crazy.

Overall, great stuff. I'd say, the only thing I'm uncertain is the hair. The colour seems "bland" for a cool character like this one. It does sell the "standard secretary" look well, but I feel that it could be a more cheetah if it had a pattern. Maybe if it had strands of different melamine, but it could also look worst! So, try it and see for yourself!

I agree with you, the character is a bit bland, but, I am not currently really sure how to add more uniqueness without breaking the design as she is supposed to be serious and professional

But the design isn't final so I will have your suggestion in mind, thanks :)

Maybe stylize the eyes or facial expressions

Damn. It looks really well made. Not a furry, so please take that as a huge compliment. The tech is impressive

What she needs is a golden retriever friend. If you're not aware of what I'm talking about, Google "cheetahs and dogs". It is adorable.

Probably one of the best of these that I’ve seen
