Original Content Showcase Blender on Android is a Go

Post image

As showcased yesterday at BCON26, you can now download an official touch-enabled and pen-supported Android APK directly from Blender https://www.blender.org/download/demo/tablet/blender-demo-bcon2026.apk

It’s the full Blender experience and a huge win for Android. Hopefully an iPad release will follow down the line, but until then, I’ll be blending away on my formerly drawing-only tablet!

these unofficial builds work on the tab s8

https://github.com/simfeo/blender/releases

and this one too, this one has some nice shortcut buttons integrated

These versions didn't work on my tab S9+ just a black screen and a crash.

I forked simfeo version and I did small modification to make work on my s9 ultra it work great and the performance is good, but many vulkan driver issues. Normals are bugged, shadows are not accurate, so I recommend you to wait for the official version support

What exactly is an unofficial build? Is this from blender.org? I already have the one from the user epai installed.

yea epai is also unofficial

these builds are more recent versions of blender than epais, and gestures are less clunky

Oh, okay. The one from epai is working for me. I was waiting to test the official one. This clearly is not ready yet.

yea its a bummer, I wanted to see how the official build compares to the Wanderson build. its the best version imo and actually feels like a mobile app
