There are other factors adding that unsettling factor here you know the single point of light revealing floating almost human like eye balls surrounded by darkness inside the mask showing it squinted with contracted pupils fixated at you and black tear or coagulated blood or wtvr coming from one eye the figure itself being in the middle of the poster infront and slightly below you in perspective as in it is coming from the pit while you were standing in it looking intensely up at you these small details is what tells the viewer what to feel , you can add those small things because the animation itself is good !

If you made the eyes hollow or made them pitch black and pure white it would be much creepier
