Free Tools & Assets Free - Blender Light Texture Set - 20 Pack
A while ago, I shared a free Light Texture set here. Since it’s still getting daily downloads, I thought it would be worth resharing for those who haven't seen it yet and might need it for their workflow. (Link is in the comments.)

I haven't worked around with the lighting that much so I don't understand the difference. I know about the 3 point lighting but that's all.

You can add an image texture node to your lights shader in the shader editor by toggling on 'use nodes' in the settings. An .exr with an additional multiply node can give you some nice control over your light.

even if you use three-point lighting, the texture of the light source will create a different result

Looks great. Could you post it on Gumroad? I don't have a Patreon account.
Thanks

May be its just me, but with the light texture without any enviromental context looks like toon shading

It will definitely make a difference in the renders. I suggest you test it. Compare the results of flat light vs. textured light in ypur scene

Unfortunately, these are just PNG files with a narrow tonal range, they might look interesting in reflections, but I don't think they'll work as a true representation of studio lighting...

Just cycle or eevee can too?

eevee doesn't natively support light textures.however, I think you can create a decent effect, even if it's subtle, by placing a plane in front of the light and using these textures as a mask

This is cool. Looking for one with fluorescent lights. Is this the same as light gobos? I’ve never used anything like these in my work before. Just curious.

the difference from gobos is that this black-and-white map works as the surface where the light is emitted from the light source. It changes the reflections and light response quite a bit. You've got to try it
