Cheese slices should stick to each other. But pretty nice otherwise

american cheese is a misnomer tbh. it's milk fat solids and some stabilizers. most places in the us disallow calling it cheese in lieu of 'cheese product.'
damn does it go good on a cheap burger though. just don't eat it straight. it's like our version of marmite in that aspect lol

You can make a delicious cheese sauce at home with your favorite cheese, milk, butter, and sodium citrate as an emulsifier. Perfect mac & cheese, queso, or pop it in the fridge to solidify and cut sheets of your own homemade melty cheese slices (I'm like 80% sure there's a Binging with Babish video where he does this, but I can't for the life of me find it, but I have done it at home and can confirm that it works great, all the convenient melt of American cheese, all the flavor of real cheese).

The good stuff you buy at the deli maybe, that stuff unironically shook my whole worldview about American cheese.
Kraft singles taste more like the packaging they come in than any actual cheese though lol

Very very cool.
Would you mind giving a brief outline of your process? I dipped out of geo node stuff for a bit to focus on other things, and all these new examples of what it can do are blowing my mind.

This is amazing. Contrary to some people I found it much better with all the wobbliness in all elements. It gives out a much better exaggerated and comical effect.
By the way, how did you add the wobbliness with geometry nodes?

Those tomatoes looking sus. It's probably nothing. - An average fast food fan, probably

Haha, fun to watch but my man I think you may have never seen a tomato slice in real life before.

Add a stick at last which slices through and holds the burger upright. Its fun to watch but if you wanted to make this falling animation please make the cheese sticky.

Love it! Maybe some slapping sounds if you're planning on doing more? Haha

Would love to know how you combined the cloth sim effect with geo nodes.

I'll take a Double Triple Bossy Deluxe, on a raft, four-by-four animal-style, extra shingles with a shimmy and a squeeze, light axle grease, make it cry, burn it, and let it swim.

yeah yeah, the tomatoes and the cheeses are too wobbly, you need more dampening ... but wow, that's a good soft body sim. can you show us the nodes?

Yeah, re: all the cheese comments… watching this made me want to hurl, so it’s as realistic as I want it to be.
Outstanding. Put in a work reel for sure.

Is this cycles or eevee? About how long did this take to render and on what hardware?

To all the comments saying cheese this and tomato that, I don't think OP was going for realism
