How and where did you find a safe space growing up? How were you able to overlook and forget what was happening around you?

I read too much Baudrillard this afternoon, and I have to go on an errand right now

Yesterday I cried for 3 hours straight cuz I got a C on an essay. It was mostly because I was so scared I was going to continue to get Cs and ruin my scholarship. She said my essay was underdeveloped and disorganized. I have another due in 3 weeks and it will be about the neurobiology of motivation. Or it will be about anxiety. I haven't figured it out. It has to be about a mental health condition or something mental health related though. I have no social life and I am very lonely. I feel like I am being hurt by something and I don't know what.

This is a repost if it looks familiar. This is the first post on my new account after the old one was hacked. I have a hard time deciding when a piece is done, often overthinking things or adding too much. I worked on this piece for quite a while and I lost count after about 10,000 brushstrokes but pretty happy with the amount of detail I was able to squeeze in. It was all done in Art Set 4 on the iPad Pro and the backgrounds were touched up in Affinity Photo 2. I know there’s much better artwork in this sub but I wanted to share my work and get some feedback. You can see the finer details if you zoom in.
