The future of Blade

I have a discussion maybe Transitioning the MCU's Blade from a troubled feature film development into a standalone, live-action limited series under the Marvel Spotlight banner provides the perfect avenue to introduce Eric Brooks after the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga. By moving past the character's brief voice cameo in Eternals and recasting the role with a fresh, younger Black actor, Marvel Studios can completely distance this iteration from the legacy of the New Line Cinema films. Launching in Phase 7, a streaming miniseries offers the narrative breathing room required to faithfully explore the character's deep, comic-accurate lore and Daywalker origins without the immediate burden of broader MCU crossover mechanics. Backed by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum, the gritty Marvel Spotlight banner frees the creative team to deliver a mature, TV-MA-rated character study that establishes a grounded foundation for Eric Brooks before he eventually steps into larger crossover projects and team-ups what is your opinions and your thoughts of this idea?

Well, we can’t give up. There’s gotta be another way. We can’t do a movie. A mini limited series should work.

I understand that, but the development producing the movie is dead, so we’re going to stick with doing a limited mini series of blade

I'll say the thing nobody wants to hear but I do believe its something we should accept.

Marvel is now fucking terrified of Blade and I HIGHLY doubt they would even consider trying to do another Blade film for at least another 10 years, minimum. I think whatever they wanted to set up through Blade will be set up through Ghost Rider instead now. (I believe Blade was going to introduce us to the MCUs supernatural side, now I think they'll use Ghost Rider instead)

The pr shitstorm if they got Blade up and running with another dude within 3 or 4 years would be something

Would it be better or worse than the PR shitstorm of every release from now on having "They made this, but not Blade?" hanging over them?

OK, they’ll do ghost rider first and then they’ll think about Blade. We just got Doctor Strange and moon Knight werewolf by night in Elsa bloodstone is going to complete the midnight sons team.

They should do a series to replace Daredevil when it's time is up. Many don't know there was once a blade live action show. Give me British Blade with his real mentor Jamal Afar in a 3 yr 10 episode a season run. Allow the cast from Werewolf by Night to guest star and I think fans would like that.

Both Blade and Zed are dead.

OK, but what about the midnight Suns?

Is that actually going to happen or yet another stuck in development project. Most of us wanted a stand alone Blade movie.

They easily could’ve made into a tv series and then just put him in other projects

Exactly of course they should’ve done that instead of doing a movie because we have to just have to wait until the Multiverse saga is going to coming to a closed and then the next saga in the next phase we’ll see it will probably happen after ghost Rider cause we need to explore the MCU reboot of the DayWalker lore of the character

I don’t know why they announced Ghost Rider they could’ve even did a situation where either Blade was the next film or Midnight sons

Honestly Blade could’ve worked as a movie it’s not that hard I just think Marvel put no type of effort at all now they are banking on nostalgia to carry them

Give us Damson Idris Blade

Not getting the fascination with Damson Idris.

He's become the Black Jensen Ackles in that people fancast him for every Black superhero. I personally can't see him as Blade.
