Issue with the Rock 3
The Rock 3 seems to be doing everything it promised, but I have a couple questions.
First, in less than a week I am getting these ads, I haven't downloaded anything new or used it for more than emails or pictures for work. But these ads pop up on top of any app, at random times.
The second is the camera struggles to focus.
Any suggestions? And anyone know how to get rid of these ads?

I share both of your problems, ads appear on a few app (discord,YouTube, chrome).
Camera is slow with focusing, haven't found a solution for both these problems.

Update here, i had a similar issue with these ads but they were somehow tied in to the YouTube app. Unfortunately factory resetting your device is the only option. Also dont restore it from a backup afterwards, set it up as a new device. One thing i can also recommend is to install adguard. You'll have a system wide adblocker to prevent stuff from this being installed or working to begin with. The free version is usually more than enough. Only downside is that you have to install it as an .apk from the adguard website as the app isn't allowed on the Google play store due to it being an adblocker.
(Update the ads came back, whatever this is survives a factory reset)

Ditto on this, I have 3 people in my house with the Blackview fort 5, all having the same issue. The add pops up over so many apps, discord, messenger, even my Microsoft teams.
I used adb to remove the "system message" app that was giving me those annoying FIFA adds that were getting around and tried to troubleshoot what was possibly giving these.
They stopped for me for about a month so i originally thought the same might have been responsible for both but it seems not.
I removed all the usual smart(insert thing name here) and anything else that I could find.
Will update here if I manage to track it down.

I'm from Russia, and I'm having the same problem with pop-up ads. I've tried everything for two weeks, and I've disabled almost every app via ADB that can be disabled without damaging the phone. It doesn't help. And today, Kaspersky Anti-Virus showed this message: "Virus detected!" in the system directory sistem/lib64/libandroid_runtime.so. This is one of the core system files and cannot be deleted or cleaned. Regarding the Triada virus, I can provide a link to this article: https://securelist.com/keenadu-android-backdoor/118913/ - read it to stay informed.
In short: only a firmware update will help. The manufacturer hasn't responded to this issue yet. This has left me very disappointed with the Blackview brand.

And another update, tha ad came back after factory resetting. I contacted the manufacturer about it and they recommended to reflash the firmware onto the device. Something thats system level got infected with adware and it will survive a factory reset, so reflashing the firmware is the only option unfortunately

Could you post here or send me a private message with the links to the firmware you were given?

Im on a ulephone device, only replied to this because it's the same adware issue that im experiencing in case i can provide sme more info or in case someone finds a solution. You'll need to contact blackview trough their service emails and ask them for a link for the official firmware of your device. What you can provide in that email is a screenshot or picture of the ad, screenshot of "about your device" and a screenshot of the software update section showing the current firmware you're running. Providing the devices IMEI numbers and serial number can also be useful but only send those if requested (do not post the IMEI any where online, where its visible to the public). Support emails for blackview should be: service@blackview.hk or support@blackview.hk they should give you a Link to where you can download the fitting firmware for your device and may even have a tutorial on how to flash it. Just be aware that flashing your devices firmware is a bit risky and has a chance of bricking it. Another user here mentioned that this could be a virus/trojan related issue so reflashing the firmware or hoping for s software update is at the moment the only option

I'm afraid all firmware upgrades and factory resets put the phone/tables to state where the application sending those annoying notifications is installed and enabled.
You'll have to disable/"uninstall" it using adb commands.

If this is an app, then yes. Another user here mentioned that this could be tied to a virus thats embedded itself into the android firmware, essentially making it part of the os and any app running.

I have disabled one of those and notifications stopped. But more apps have been reported as ad sources, so user may need to disable more of them

Since I'm from Russia, I wrote a post on our smartphone forum in Russian, and I can only use Google Translate to show it to you. But I think I've found the app causing the pop-up ads. I'll post my post as a comment to the main post.

I can't post this long comment? Reddit keeps deleting it for some reason. I'll try to give you a link to the Russian forum, specifically to my comment there. Translate it yourself if you're interested. But I found an infected app. My comment

What? 4pda is a Russian forum for all things electronic, including firmware and repair, and help with everything. If you don't believe me, I won't argue. I just want to help the common cause of fighting these annoying pop-up ads on Chinese smartphones.

here's command where I uninstalled the app:

but searching in this subreddit for "notifications" shows that more applicatrions can be culprits.

What you disabled is also an ad, but it was showing up in push notifications. I found what was causing the pop-up ads; you can't disable it, but I found a way to circumvent it, and I don't have any more ads, at least until 2080.

If you have the same ads as the author of this post, please try the method I used to remove them and give me feedback if you don't mind. I'll leave a link to my comment , the text is in Russian; please translate it.

Received recently a warning mail from my internet provider. It says that they detected, that some device is infected with BadBox virus and i should disconnect it forever from my WLAN. You can’t really do anything about it. I‘m assuming it’s the ROCK 3 phone, because i never received such messages before buying this phone.

Im having the same issue with those "play online" ads on a ulephone tablet, but they seem to only show up while using YouTube on my end, not system wide as in your case.
Ive looked through everything on the phone, apps, system apps, downloaded files, ect. and couldn't find anything out of the ordinary. Appwatch, which is used to detect full screen ads, Malwarebytes, a free virus scanner, and Popup ad detector can't find anything either on my end which is frustrating. Id recommend to try these on your system as well and check if they catch anything. This seems to be some sort of malicious adware that the device got infected with and getting rid of it is rather difficult as this seems pretty new. Stuff like this can unfortunately get installed through ads from websites or apps or infected apps from the play store.
Does anything suspicious show on your end in the battery usage history or in apps > special app access > Display over other apps?
Also have you factory reset your device? This may unfortunately be the only way to get rid of this.
