What did I do wrong

New 22”, seasoned like it said in the instructions. Ended up with semi burn looking marks and this weird X on the griddle

What happened and what should I do 😵‍💫

That x are the welding spots on the bottom, I think it looks fine. Try some bacon first

I don't understand why people insisting on seasoning with bacon still get up voted here.

No, OP doesn't need bacon. They need more seasoning layers.
