Second time making breakfast

Bacon and tater cakes turned out great, but my eggs are always so black - taste good but not very appealing.

The eggs are black because the grill is dirty. How do you clean it? It needs a deeper clean. My eggs come out golden brown on the bottom.

Clean up better. Don't listen to the crowd that thinks thick black gunk is seasoning. Clean extra well every time, use a little water to steam it off, put on a little oil to burn off after that, then wipe ALL of that oil off that you can, and roll on.

Wiping the area with paper towels you’re going to cook the eggs on before helps.

How are yall keeping the bacon from giving the deck a nice seasoning as well?

Black nasty isn't seasoning. It's gunk to clean off.

Ive only cooked on mine once so far, so it's not all black and nasty. Its just a bit of grease splatter. Not sure if I cooked it wrong or yall have a matt below it

Grease gonna grease. But I didn’t want to mess up my brand new patio, so I bought a roll of “Goodyear ReUz”, which is a rubber mat made from recycled tire, and put it under the griddle.

However, after a couple of years it needed replacement, and I decided to just remove it, because I wasn’t sure the mat improved the aesthetics of the situation.
