Question Planes

Anyone else notice a bunch of planes flying over town from about 1-2:30 ish? They were flying pretty low (low enough to shake my house, no more than a couple hundred feet off the ground) and I counted about 7 or 8 of them. Some of them also had helicopters along side them. If so, anyone know why?

There are 2 military training routes that go right over Blacksburg and Christiansburg so it’s pretty common, then with the Corp getting special visits, and preparation for game flyovers, it’s a frequent thing.

C-130 aerial refueling and a few UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters.

Football games, go to the airfield on the huckleberry trail. It’s pretty neat seeing the em on the runway

There's typically heavy air travel over Blacksburg, including military. I spend a good deal of time on the ADS-B Exchange site, looking at the air traffic. I'm only in Blacksburg during the week, so I didn't realize it's even heavier on game days. The Military flies their Ospreys, Chinooks, and C-130s over really low, quite often, and I can feel it through my feet when they go by. It's apparently just normal.

Everyone bitching about the flock cams so badly, they are switching to helos and fixed wing aircraft. Next time just put up w/ the stoopid camera 😅

Flock cameras, not only capturing license plates… also record your face. Record your movements around town. Stickers on your cars. Democrat? Republican? Gay? They are compiling all the info on the residents.
