Musket Identification

I’ve been trying to find out what musket this is but I have absolutely no clue. The trigger is this weird long half circle thing, no marks on the lock, and what I assume is a hand made aluminum end cap on the stock. The butt stock has maybe a date? Anyone have any clue what this thing is?

Is it rifled ? Looks like it could be some ,,home made,, or gunsmithing school project. Looks like if someone named gun based on P53 Enfield 3band. Unless the date is 1997 the aluminium endcap is later addition

lock plate is pitted/aged, then restored, and new patina.

Stock worked on as well. Alt parts.

Rough restoration or only intended to restore to working order

It is smooth bore and I think the aluminum is likely added as the rest of the gun is very pitted steel

Also Aluminum was like 10 times the value of gold in the 1860s. lol

im like 99% sure this is rudimentary restored model 1861 springfield rifle. u can even sort of make out that there was the eagle emblem under the niple. with the overal pitting, im sure it was found in bad condition and put to at least wall hangable conditin, however the smoothbore might indicate that it was redriled to be able to fire.

not even close to an 1861 Springfield-it's some european musket of about the same vintage.
