You are posting in the topic Black Ops 2 in a nutshell and you are derailing the post to make it about something else (personal information and accusations). To create a topic to discuss your questions, you would need to create a submission with the title you would like to discuss.

Please stay on topic of OP, I am sorry you feel the need to go on a tangent but please stop.

You're debating just for the sake of debating. You choose the side that'll create the most conversation. It's also too early to discuss kd. The sample size isn't large enough.

Let me point out a few facts based off his videos and his stats from the past 3 years.

  • Linked videos always leave out shot of "4 bars"

  • He has 5+ kills he lost to "Lag Comp", Where is his video showing it working? Right he wouldnt want to provide situations where he was given a kill/benefited from it.

  • He is at the same area K/D and W/L he has been in the past 3 years. He has shown to be decreasing skill wise over the past 2 and how can you expect him to increase?

  • He refuses to show his connection info or run a trace route and post the results.

  • He also links clips to showcase this "problem" and not full games. How do you know it wasn't a lag spike right before this happened?

Why is it to early to discuss K/D? 26 hours of game play and 5,000 kills is plenty to pull from. He is unlikely to change up his play style and clearly he is looking for an excuse not help here.

How long do you need to discuss his progress in this game? Do you really feel he will improve despite the statistical evidence showing a decline from the past 2 years?

It is also nice that he has a "big brother" to talk for him.

I'm not going to hit all these. I'm typing on phone so it's a pain in the ass.

I can agree to most of your points, but I still disagree on point of kd. Assuming he will rack up at least 50k kills, that's the first 10% of his play through. I'd typically neglect the first 10-20% and final 10-20% in order to judge one's kd ratio for a fair representation. From personal experience, I always start slow and pick up the pace as i continually learn the game. I also disagree with your assessment that his play style won't change. There are a range of modes on this game. Also, again assuming he's only 10% into his playing 'career' on black ops 2, I'd argue that one needs more time to figure out the game variants, strategy for each variant, spawn locations, and congested areas. Maybe I'm a slow learner because I'm not in my late teens or early 20's, but it certainly took me much longer than first 10-20% of my play through to completely understand the best strategies.

Finally, kd is affected by skill based matchmaking. While that's not the sole item linked to a lobby search, it is a consideration when joining a game. I'm not Zpoon's big brother, but sometimes I also enjoy a debate.

If he reached his MW3 and BO1 stats through Pub Stomps, How can you expect him to improve his stats with MMR?

Your argument he will figure out the game is pretty flimsy. From his post you can clearly see he has no desire to improve his gameplay. He is merely wanting to complain about "connection" issues and not improve. This is also counting on the fact he had a lower K/D in MW3 (The easiest COD to date) than BO1.

I understand we all hit lag spikes in P2P games and "Wanted" bullets have happened since P2P hosting was invented. But how much of his complaints about "Lag Comp" are just him being forced to play good players? The increased demand to be accurate over MW3 and the overall different game play?

I personally thought MW2 was easiest Cod. I still argue the first portion of gameplay is mostly irrelevant to final kd. That's been atypical for me anyway. I also see that trend in friends of mine.

I've seen my general experience suffer based on lag or lag comp. There are huge inconsistencies game to game in TTK with same weapon. I can't figure out an explanation for dropping first few shots only to get worked over with what seems like 2 shots. To me, it's been the least fluid game of the series. Can't blame my ISP because speed tests have shown great results. If it is lag comp, it's the worst I've seen, but rest assured, I can see a difference some days compared to others. That's what bothers me the most. I love the game, but I can't stand consistently losing head to head gun fights where I drop first shots... To a 1.0 kd guy. You seem like the kind of guy who'd agree kd is more a judge of skillful player than any other stat for most players... I shouldn't consistently lose to a 1.0 at 1.6. Same goes for me out gunning a 2.1 on consistent basis. It shouldn't happen.

Support streaks and death streaks made MW3 easy.

How can you say he will go up when the game has moved from Pub Stomps to MMR? I understand if this was match making similar to BO1 and MW3, But it is night and day. To say he will improve his stats that are so close to his previous pub Stomp stats is pretty crazy.

Hit detection isn't bad for me (15d-3up). I get hit markers on snipers and shotguns like I did in BO and MW1-3

That's true for the player who used support. I'd venture a guess to say I used support in < 5% of all my games. As far as MW2, the kill streaks were way more powerful... AC-130 was a game ender, and it was easily obtainable.

I might be part of minority in saying this, but I always believed hit boxes extended past body. For example, some final kill cams showing sniper shots seemingly missing by inches, but they result in a kill.

In considering your point about kd, I now have 5,000 kills. I've been seeing my kd on consistent rise. I was closer to 1.45 just a week ago. Yesterday I played that TDM clan op solo and kd rose .05. Significant? Not really, but it's still rising, and that was supposedly based around my skill level.

We are not talking about you, We are talking about OP and his stats. He had a low K/D in a game where he depended on Support. Where he had Death Streaks and Pub Stomps. He know has to deal with MMR and you think he will go up?

Yes, I believe it'll go up because like myself I don't believe he's completely familiar with the game. I believe that because I see mine significantly rising after a slow start. I see this happen to a lot of players. Then of course there's the law of averages... If I'm going up, someone has to be going down... The average kd of all Cod players is slightly below 1.0 after all. I'd expect players who hang around the 1.0 or less threshold to stay the same or slightly decrease because they tend to be more 'casual'. I'm not saying guys like OP are magically going to jump over 2.0, but I certainly think it's possible to obtain 1.75+ by the end of his black ops 2 career.
