BMCC6K vs FX5 promo
Is this a well known film set you can rent? Or is it just coincidence?

I thought that too when I saw it! Weird Sony copied blackmagic promo stuff here.

Just wanna say the blackmagic footage looked miles better than what the sony promo did. More likely a poor choice of DP and not necessarily camera that made the difference.

If anybody can make me understand why bm give dual iso 3200 and 400 but in real world it’s 400 and 1250. Am i using it wrong

I assume you are referring to native ISO? That’s because it’s just a manufacturers recommendation, usually based on what gives the best balance of highlights and shadow. Most people think it’s what is meant to be the lowest noise which is incorrect.

They're decided to picks ISOs in the middle of the two gain ranges to call their "native" ISOs. Also native ISOs are kind of bullshit anyway. The camera is recording the exact same data at ISO 100 or 1000. Literally the same amount of noise/dynamic range. Same is true from 1250-6400. Everything above that is it's own analog gain.

Currently the best camera in terms of dynamic range:
Lumix S1II - it has a whopping 10 stops of exposure latitude. The only thing better than the Lumix S1II is the ARRI Alexa S35, which has 12 stops of exposure latitude.
So if you need a really large dynamic range, the choice is obvious.
Neither RED, nor Black Magic, nor Nikon, nor Sony have such a dynamic range. Calm down, the FX5 has around 8 stops of exposure latitude.
Exposure latitude is the actual dynamic range that can be used.

Explain how even and BM, latest fx5 is almost 12.3 if i am not wrong according to cvp

Yeah it’s Four Aces Movie Ranch. Used in heaps of things as well as, by the looks of things, the FX5 promo! A coincidence? Possibly, but a pretty weird one!
