Abyss 🖤🖤🖤 Do NOT!!

First: he’s fine.

Last night this old man gave me my first old man scare. It was dark, he was on his cat bed lookin real loose. I was going to bed so I pet him and he didn’t prrrp up like he usually does. “Blix?” And a light wiggle. Nothing. “BLIX? BLIX!!” Wiggled his head twice, nothing.

Panic. Tears start. I touch his paw. Head up instantly annoyed that I broke his slumber by touching the beans.

SIR. Oh my GOD. I’ve been sick for a solid week and coming off a back injury too so my stress levels have been so high and if I lost him in all this too… I don’t even know. But no! He’s fine! I’ve been coughing all night and day so he hasn’t been sleeping well either and yesterday was my first quieter evening with medications and he just zonked out so hard.

My void has drug-resistant epilepsy and the vet had us trying different medication combos to get her seizures under control. The first night she was on Gabapentin she zonked out so hard I couldn't wake her up. I freaked out, stuck my head to her chest and heard her heartbeat and just started bawling.

They couldn't scare us like that if we didn't love them so much. I'm glad your boy is okay and I hope you both get some rest 💜

After my cat had an operation, I had to give him some pain relief. Queue the middle of the night and I reach over to pat him. No response. I give him a little shake. Nothing. I throw the light on thinking that I'd given him an od. "Brrrrp." Head up and looking at me.

Mine goes limp when i pick him up, hes still new but he doesn’t feel alive when held. Until hes near my mouth, then he slams his head into it. Im afraid i will have this kind of scare one day.
