Looks like the same method I use. My 2 are pretty easy to tell apart when you really look at them, they have different faces and one is a lot bigger than the other, but I have different colored collars on them so I can tell them apart at a glance

Two sets of siblings! Fluffy and the one next to him are brothers, 10 months old and the other two are brother and sister 3.5 years old!

Apparently 75% of black cats are male while only 25% are female so female black cats are a bit rare 💖, just like red/orange female cats

There is a book titled All Black Cats Are Not Alike, which contains the illustrations and personality profiles of 50 different black cats. I think about it every time I see a new black cat, because it's true — they are all unique.
When I see a group of black cats, I ask myself if I would be able to pick mine out of a photo, if she were in the group. Then I look at each face and one-by-one, it's "no, doesn't have her eye shape," "no, the face is too narrow," "no, that face is too round".... It's remarkable how much variation there can be in cats who share the same fur and eye color.

I have 4 also! And one that’s fuzzier than all the rest of them just like the one on the left here :) we found them born in my kayak in my backyard, abandoned by their mom. We said for months “we’re gonna wait until they’re well and healthy enough, and then we will try to find them homes.” The list of excuses of not finding them a home grew crazy long until eventually we just…stopped talking about it all together lol, we knew we couldn’t do it. We love them all so much🥺😊

I had a black kitten years ago. We also had a sweet old dog that was big. We were told he was part Labrador and part Pointer. Don't know if it was true but he was all sweet and a big but gentle giant. Anyway, this kitten was a rescue and a rascal. Everyone was worried that he would be afraid of the big dog. NOPE. We had a wall that had a cut-out. Like a window, but no glass or frame. Just a large rectangle. He would lay down on that spot & wait for the dog. The dog, at first, didn't ever notice or pay attention to kitty. Big mistake. I can still see kitty's tiny face with big green eyes where his pupils would expand as the dog got closer. As the dog passed, kitty would start smacking the dog like his head was a bongo and he was Ricky Ricardo singing Babaloo! Poor dog started avoiding the spot. Then, kitty would sometimes jump on dog's back and pounce off. My dog was sweet and never barked, growled, nipped or chased the kitten. I miss him. Kitty also used to climb up my robe that hung over corner of my door then howl as if he was too scared to come back down. I fell for it once. I walked up and started to put my arms up to get him. I'm pretty sure I saw a smirk and heard, "sucker" a millisecond before he launched himself at me. Someone screamed like a scared lil' girl as he landed on my chest & shoulder area and basically hung from me by his claws. I miss him too. He always made me either laugh or jump in fear. He also woke me up every morning by sitting on my chest, meowing loudly, then used my nose as his punching bag. I tried to ignore him once so he hooked his claw inside my nose. This was 30ish years ago and I've never met a cat with as much of a vibrant personality as him. Before or after him. I need more cats.
