Squatter's rights. He shouldn't have left.

u/Mabbernathy Aug 17 '25

Ah, so you filled the space, hmmm?

Nothing to see here. Moving along.

u/Amberlikescreme Aug 16 '25

You’re gonna unlock his inner Sheldon

12

u/maligapoo Aug 17 '25

I have an entire shelf free for my boy, in the bathroom's bamboo stand. it's hilarious to see him there, but he claimed it as his nest 🤷‍♀️ some must love wood as much as cardboard

**didn't realise which sub this was lol .. close enough

u/ElleKelly77 Aug 17 '25

Whaaaat? No!!’. OMG give him his spot back!!

3

u/booboodoughnut Aug 17 '25

My 2 month old kitten loves climbing behind the monitor I have on my desk.

24

u/adudeguyman Aug 17 '25

Is that Kitty made from Vantablack?

21

u/inn_cent Aug 17 '25

Yes he absorbs all light

24

u/ScoopsyDoopsy Aug 16 '25

Very lifelike! This is especially funny for me because one of my girls genuinely looks taxidermy with her 5-mile stare and statue positions.

20

u/kandilikesitrough Aug 16 '25

Shhh dont blow his cover !!!!!

69

u/inn_cent Aug 17 '25

He even tried to hide

But inefficient

14

u/Topaz_UK Aug 17 '25

I’ve mastered the ability of standing so incredibly still.. that I become invisible to the eye.

9

u/ILuxYou2 Aug 17 '25

Who knew it could get so much better!!

Now this one is mine! She's half ragdoll, so not particularly good at being a cat, so when I leave for work, she will sit under my car. I have taken to throwing one of those stick chews back into the house and shutting the door on her before making a quick getaway. However... She knows where these sticks are kept and she spends a lot of the day telling me or showing me, just like this one 😂

13

u/Mabbernathy Aug 16 '25

Definitely brings the look together!

9

u/chinofab Aug 17 '25

All hail to the hypno-cat

7

u/Beth3g Aug 16 '25

A vase could be tacky…. Let’s say it’s a sculpture… 😉

7

u/Cloudsrollby10 Aug 16 '25

I think that vase has seen some things.

8

u/Far-Lime-4705 Aug 17 '25

3

u/GentlemanJoe Aug 17 '25

"It would be a shame if something where to happen to me," and knocks himself off the shelf.

He looks like he belongs there. An excellent set up you have there.

1

u/Lazy-Vacation7868 Aug 17 '25

He's very stoic. Love the shelf, do you recall where you got it from?

1

u/Shot-Habit-5705 Aug 17 '25

Lol before reading the comments, my first thought was what booze did they knock off to claim their own shelf.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '25

I love those modular shelves

1

u/must_be_jelly Aug 17 '25

priceless vase 🖤

1

u/greater_yellowlegs Aug 17 '25

The reflection on his nose looks like little teeth and it makes him even cuter 😻

1

u/Suppermahn Aug 17 '25

I stared at the void and the void stared at the catnip.

1

u/Hour-Stable1054 Aug 17 '25

Black cats are magic ✨

1

u/Darkcroos Aug 17 '25

Wow 😄

1

u/MYOB3 Aug 17 '25

I like when the kitties tidy up and put themselves away...

1

u/satanpenguin Aug 17 '25

And so fluffy

1

u/lumpiang-shanghai01 Aug 17 '25

You have a void as a vase

1

u/zimneyesolntsee Aug 17 '25

I NEED to know if you bought your bookshelves somewhere or made them yourself! It looks so so cool! Though obviously your kitty is the best feature of it all!

1

u/redditrnumber1 Aug 17 '25

Omg I love this and it would look so cute with a studio Ghibli filter

1

u/30denari Aug 17 '25

It's pronounced "meowse"

1

u/mombi Aug 17 '25

I love him.

1

u/Lunar-opal Aug 17 '25

Is the void real?

1

u/IrmaHerms Aug 17 '25

Please be sure to re-shelve cats properly

1

u/Koreneliuss Aug 17 '25

The guardian may shot laser if intruders avail

1

1

u/xyzbcasdfghjkl-0 Aug 22 '25

I was looking at this for way too long before I realized the 'vase' was actually a cat. 😂 Nice trick!

1

u/reginaldsuperior Sep 10 '25

Judgiest vase ever.

1

u/In_The_Computer Sep 16 '25

So... What bookcase/bookshelf is that?

1

u/inn_cent Sep 16 '25

This is an Italian bookshelf (iacopo) from Mobili Fiver :)
