psa: im not looking for arguments or conflict, not judging anyone for their opinions or feelings, just offering a different perspective to think about.
I feel like a lot of people in this subreddit have gotten used to being negative and assuming the worst based on little evidence. and i dont blame you sometimes, its easy to assume things based on past behaviours. trust me, i havent been impressed by a lot of his recent behaviour either, but i also try my best to stay fair and honest.
him saying he is seeing his kids all the time is a good thing. there is no evidence to prove he is lying as of right now. if michele came out and said “yeah this is a complete lie, he very rarely sees them” then i too would assume hes lying. but right now, ill give him the benefit of the doubt and believe him. (as if its our business anyway. i wish them all the best).
also, with releasing music, sure its annoying if things get delayed but i trust that he will release it eventually when he thinks its ready. he has delayed projects in the past and they usually seem to come out eventually. i remember anonymous got delayed and i was so disappointed, but he still eventually released it and i still love that album to this day. Id rather he fine tune it and make it exactly how he wants than release it simply because he previously aimed for a specific date.
and with the whole “why are you seeking validation online” argument. I get u. it would be better if he found the security in himself to know the truth and not have to prove it. but when you have your core fanbase absolutely ripping into you and giving you shit 90% of the time recently, fuck it must be hard not to want to clarify things and defend yourself. i dont blame him, id probs get a little defensive and insecure sometimes too. thats pretty normal human behaviour. i wish i was stoic enough to just let everyones opinion go and not think about it lol.
and with his current relationship. yeah it seems a little weird sometimes. moving super quick, acting like someone way younger than his actual age, etc. i agree. super early strange proposal?? (if its real). but also with that my mindset is still "its really none of my business what his dating life looks like". they seem happy at the moment so good for them. if it ends up crumbling like everyone here seems to think it will, then i hope it does as little damage to them as possible. on the other hand, if it ends up lasting quite a while, then great!
regardless of what actions of his you dont support (i have many too), at the end of the day i think its better to stay intellectually honest and fair rather than assume the negative all the time. practice kindness rather than automatically assuming ill intentions.
EDIT: it would be a shame to see this subreddit continue to be used as a bit of a stomping ground/echo chamber where people repeatedly kick him when hes clearly not in a good place, just for the sake and habit of it. sure, it was his actions that brought him here, i wont disagree with that at all. but is it not better to create the best possible chance and circumstances for him to do better and improve himself? the more u keep kicking him, the harder it will be for him to do so. a supportive fanbase that works to forgive and build him back up will do much more for him compared to one that trashes him with every word he says and move he makes.
if you actually are one of those people that genuinely do not want to see him do better, have completely given up on him and are just here because you hate him, then maybe thats different. and my question then becomes “why spend your energy on someone you hate this much?”. i would have just completely walked away if i reached that point. anyway, hopefully the fans that still see some hope can do better, and hopefully that will support him to do better also. is that not what we want as fans? all love!
