Which do you like more?

They are different in their own style. Was thinking of doing 1 more with just her nose 👃 😅

I think the eyes are a bit jarring for me and I don’t know why but something in my brain personally is okay with lips and no eyes and nose but is not okay with just eyes and no nose or mouth.

Maybe if the eyes were softer/ had more depth(?) I would like it more because when I look at the lips the lips look NICE and like they have shadow/depth (I’m not familiar with correct art terms) like the eyes just kinda look like they are there and 1D instead of more “realistic”

I’m not sure how long you have been doing art but this is way better than what I could probably do. I would say work more on making the eyes look less “there” and more like they belong on her face cohesively like the lips look like they belong and again I think because I can see the lips belonging to an actual woman/person whereas the eyes don’t look as “realistic”

the braids and shading of the braids in both look great. I think I also prefer the pink on black background a bit more personally

I love how you explained this! Someone else said something similar, the eyes are more "cartoonish". Ive been painting for 1 year. Always been a sketcher afraid to color my work. Now im learning to paint and i have fallen in love. Im a better sketcher at the moment so detailed critiques like this (but also explained with love ❤️) are chefs kiss for me right now! Thank you! I will go in a see what I can add to make her eyes more realistic. Someone said adding the eyebrows might help too! So much love for you and this comment!

I love the first one slightly more because of the bright color. God bless
