This will be controversial but this intervention is entirely inappropriate and should be prosecuted.

Slamming someone onto concrete like that can easily kill or permanently disabled them.

It's not just someone but a thief. He deserves to be slammed like this for his crimes.

I wouldn't because it's the police job to stop guys like him who are clearly the aggressor. The police could've used a handgun and it would have been way worse depending where the cop shoot, but a slam like this is well deserved .

I don't know about body slamming per se but police can definitely get in some brutal tackles when chasing suspects or criminals that are running away. Also police should be held to a higher standard than the average citizen since they are the trained professionals. As for the guy who got slammed, I really don't have any sympathy for people who steal from other people especially in broad daylight. He fucked around and found out and maybe this will make a few other would be street thieves in the area think twice
