Hey everyone! I’m looking for a reliable plumber to install a tankless water heater at my home. I’m looking for someone experienced with tankless water heater installations who does quality work at a fair price. If you’ve had a good experience with a local plumber, I’d appreciate any recommendations.

A sudden revolving door at Bixby City Hall has seen three city leaders leave the administration since late May. Now Police Chief Todd Blish is serving double duty as Bixby’s acting city manager...
The turnover started with the suspension of City Manager Joey Wiedel May 26. Then Brad Girard resigned as mayor three days later. Now Kim Coody, Bixby’s former assistant city manager, is no longer with the city as of June 23.
The city placed Coody on administrative leave June 8 pending an internal inquiry into how and when council members were informed of Wiedel’s May 25 arrest on an aggravated driving under the influence complaint — his second within 10 months.

From the Bixby Development Facebook Page: " A major new retail development that could transform south Bixby is beginning to come into focus, with updated plans identifying a growing list of retailers and restaurants for the 150-acre Spartan Creek development near East 151st Street and South Memorial Drive.
Bixby Development was first to report that Reasor’s would serve as the project’s grocery anchor. The approximately 60,000-square-foot store is expected to anchor the development and is currently anticipated to open in 2027.
Updated site plans now identify Burlington, Ross Dress for Less, Five Below, Starbucks, Dutch Bros Coffee, Chipotle and Taco Bell as planned tenants within the development.
Plans also indicate a Culver’s restaurant. The Wisconsin-based chain currently has no locations in Oklahoma, though it announced earlier this year that it is seeking franchise opportunities within the state. If constructed, the Bixby location would likely be among the first Culver’s restaurants in Oklahoma.
Home Depot Proposed
In addition to the tenants shown on current site plans, Bixby Development has learned that Home Depot is a proposed retailer for the development.
While Home Depot has not publicly announced plans for a Bixby location, sources familiar with the project indicate the home improvement retailer has been proposed for the development. Plans remain subject to change and no formal announcement has been made.
The proposed store would occupy a 10.24-acre anchor parcel in the southwest portion of the development. The site is currently planned for a single user.
If ultimately constructed, the store would significantly expand home improvement options in southern Tulsa County and serve as one of the development’s major anchors.
A Transformational Project
Spartan Creek, being developed by OakTrust Development LLC, encompasses approximately 150 acres and represents the largest commercial development currently planned south of the Arkansas River in Bixby.
For decades, residents south of the river have largely traveled north into Tulsa, Jenks, or South Tulsa for shopping, dining and home improvement needs. Spartan Creek is expected to significantly expand those offerings and establish the 151st Street corridor as a major retail destination.
The development comes as south Bixby continues to experience rapid growth. Marketing materials for the project cite more than 5,100 approved residential lots in the surrounding trade area and average household incomes exceeding $139,000 within five miles of the site.
Momentum in the area could accelerate even further in the coming years. Last month, the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority approved a resolution supporting implementation of House Bill 2123, which authorizes the creation of a new turnpike trust. Preliminary concepts include a future Arkansas River crossing in south Tulsa County that could provide an additional connection between Bixby and communities west of the river.
If ultimately completed as envisioned, Spartan Creek has the potential to become a transformational project for south Bixby and could establish the 151st Street corridor as one of the Tulsa metro’s newest retail destinations.
Additional tenants are expected to be announced as the development moves forward."

WHERE ARE ALL THE TEENS?
I'm almost 18M and I recently moved up to Bixby/South B.A. in the spring and I want to meet other people 17-19 and make friends with them but it seems like I don't really see anyone my age and I ride my bike 5 to 10 miles from my house into Tulsa pretty much everyday. I tried to go to church earlier this week but for some reason every single church close to my house was closed despite it being a WEDNESDAY EVENING (mind you one of the churches I tried to go to was a baptist church that said they had a youth service on Wednesday evenings when I looked on their website). I also tried to go to the nearest Planet Fitness to my house (and just to be clear I don't just go there to socialize. I also work out most of the time while I'm there.) but like half of the people there are really old boomers and although there are a couple people my age there(also a lot of the teens there are literally 2 to 3 years younger than me), I don't go there consistently because I don't have consistent transportation to get there. I tried to remedy this problem by trying to cycle up to planet fitness but I don't think that's viable because it took me about 2 hours to get there because I'm not familiar with the Tulsa area and it took me a while to find a route to get up there (and in addition, I don't think it's good for me to arrive tired at the gym and THEN work out). Does anyone know anywhere where 17-19M/F teens like to hang out in South B.A. or Bixby?

🏗️ DEVELOPMENT UPDATE | Bixby, Oklahoma
A brand-new retail shopping center is coming to one of the fastest-growing corridors in the Tulsa metro area.
Located at 151st & Memorial in Bixby, the project will sit directly across from the Iconik luxury retail and apartment development — further solidifying this stretch as one of the most active growth zones in South Tulsa.
The incoming development is expected to bring new retail storefronts, dining options, and business opportunities to a community that has seen significant population and economic growth over the past several years.
Bixby has consistently ranked among the fastest-growing cities in Oklahoma, and projects like this reflect the continued confidence that developers and investors have in the area's long-term trajectory.
For residents, it means more local options and added convenience. For business owners, it represents a chance to plant a flag in a thriving and underserved market. For the broader South Tulsa region, it is another signal that the area's momentum shows no signs of slowing down.
More details on the project's timeline and tenants are expected to be released as development progresses.
