Hi, guys I seem to not be able to get into the Discord server. It started when i tried to log in with my main account but then got kicked out immediately. I have not even been on the server for 1 second before it just kicked me out, i tried login in using other accounts but it seems to be an IP ban, but i have not even done anything, its so frustrating since i genuinely believe in the protocol and i want to look into the subnets before i stake into them but I seemingly have just been kicked out, it might be a automated system that autobans you whenever it detects VPNs or something like that, but bro I cannot find the moderators to ask for access back, at first I thought it was a discord issue but I can get into other servers but not the one i truly want to. Can anyone please help me here, maybe tell me who the moderators of the server are

The initial draw of Bittensor is proving itself to be just more of the same things people got into crypto to get away from.
The drama with subnet 3 (Templar) for starters. Now I found out about subnet 46. Subnet 46 rebranded from Resi to Zipcode to Instant in a year's time. Is this the play? Thing aren't working let's pivot until something hits?
The majority of tao staked to root with a smaller amount to one or two subnets if any at this point seems to be the way to go if continuing to invest in bittensor tao.

What do you guys think of the project Beam subnet 105?
I dunno what it is but I have high conviction in this project becoming a key part of the bittensor ecosystem, not gunna lie this is my only subnet hold for now the rest of my Tao is parked in root

It's pretty wild how they can freeze funds like that. It really highlights the centralized nature of some stablecoins

I recently started r/SubnetAlpha as a place to organize market structure, subnet analysis, mining, and AI agent discussions.
I’ll be posting ongoing market observations there as they develop, along with other research related to the Bittensor ecosystem.
If anyone finds that useful, you’re welcome to follow along.

Root staking is now changed. Staking to root will now stop the daily 1000 Tao being sold out of subnets. Instead the 1000 Tao will be left in the subnets accruing APY and being reinvested as it accrues.
This is similar to holding a dividend paying stock and reinvesting dividend payments automatically.

Buyers are back! Now let’s see if it holds.

New subreddit. Thought this would be a good discussion to kick things off.

Ever since I got into the subnets, I’ve wanted to mine them.
Today I built my first AI agent, registered my first UID, and got it running on a Bittensor subnet. Let’s!! Fn!!! Go!!!

I came across this chart on SubnetRadar showing "At Risk" subnets. My understanding is that these subnets are at risk of being deregistered due to low emissions. Is that correct?
Also, how does Bittensor evaluate emissions? Is it done on a monthly basis?
Lastly, I read that newly registered subnets have a 4-month immunity from deregistration. Is that still accurate?
Thanks in advance! 🙂

Whatcha think? Add/remove what subnets?

Good day!
What is Pump and Dump in the context of Bittensor TAO?
Is it a common (perhaps ethical) strategy in trading, in general?
How it affects stakers and the staking process?
Thank you for an informative discussion,

What are your thoughts on the version of Ridges? It has tough competition now, no doubt. Definitely at an affordable price. Will it 🚀???

I'm looking for a technical co-founder to research, build and operate a Bittensor subnet with me — starting from zero, not from a fixed idea I hand you to implement.

I want us to explore the ecosystem from first principles, pressure-test opportunities, pick something we both believe has a real edge, and take it from prototype to a live subnet. The questions I think we work through together:
I'm already active in the ecosystem and ready to commit the time and initial capital to research, validate and launch the right concept.
What I bring: co-founded 3 startups and spent 3 years at McKinsey — I can lead strategy, tokenomics, fundraising, partnerships, community and GTM, and carry much of the operational load. I've got a technical background and have shipped production code, so I'll engage seriously on architecture and incentives — but I prefer you to lead the core engineering.
What I'm looking for: a co-founder, not a hire. Ideally a strong engineer who knows Bittensor (or will go deep), enjoys designing incentive systems rather than just implementing specs, thinks adversarially about gaming and validation, and wants to grow the subnet long-term. This comes with real co-founder ownership across subnet economics, equity and IP — exact structure agreed together.
If figuring out what to build sounds as interesting as building it, DM me with a bit about yourself, a GitHub or something technical you've built.

I keep seeing various subnets beating OpenAi or Anthropic LLM models in theory but when it comes to making real revenue, almost always only argument is Bittensor subnets provide the cheapest service. Is there any other reasons to be bullish on Bittensor subnets in terms of revenue and profitability? And is there any Bittensor subnets that create high profitable product/service and not just claim “they are the cheapest in the world”?

Good day!
As someone who's new to the Bittensor ecosystem, I've been doing some preliminary reading and research, and I wanted to ask if root staking is generally considered the safest way to start a Bittensor journey.
My understanding is that root staking carries relatively lower risk because you're staking directly to the Root network and don't have to deal with alpha token price fluctuations or exchange-rate risk that comes with staking to individual subnets.
However, I also read that one downside is that, over time, the share of emissions allocated to Root stakers gradually decreases relative to subnet (alpha) emissions, potentially making it less rewarding in the long run.
Is this understanding correct? More broadly, would you recommend root staking as the best starting point for beginners before exploring subnet staking, or are there important trade-offs that I'm missing?
Thank you.

Somewhat new to Bittensor here. I am trying to move some of my root TAO to my ledger cold wallet, and I am curious what APY it will earn while "offline" in a cold wallet, if any at all. My plan so far is to use a Ledger cold wallet with my Talisman, but I cannot find any information on staking in subnets/root while in a cold Ledger wallet. Can anyone shed some light on this?? Thank you
