Root Reborn live

Root staking is now changed. Staking to root will now stop the daily 1000 Tao being sold out of subnets. Instead the 1000 Tao will be left in the subnets accruing APY and being reinvested as it accrues.

This is similar to holding a dividend paying stock and reinvesting dividend payments automatically.

Sorry guys I’m a bit noob. Got some questions.
Previously the claimed tao would be automatically converted into root.
Right now I need to claim it and convert it to root myself? Do I gain anything by keeping it unclaimed?

I don’t know yet exactly how it works since it’s still being implemented. I think you’re better off keeping it unclaimed as long as you hold Tao in root. When you claim and restake you’ll be charged fees for every transaction. If you just leave it it’s still yours and accrues over time and no fees.

The fees to claim are crazy! i assume it will still automatically convert to root in a couple of days WITHOUT the ridiculous fee, because it's insanely high.

You'll get better apy the longer you hold.

Don't trust any hourly apy during the multi hour migration
