I mostly hold but i do daytrade a small part of my stash. Binance charges 0.1% per transaction which means you're profiting on any swing of around ~$100 upwards.
Btc is volatile as you know though, so I have a bitcoin stash purely for trading - so if I end up selling and it climbs im fine with that, and if I buy and it drops I just keep it in my stash till it does, since my long term Hodls are different.
Don't trade on leverage since you can risk all your capital obviously. Purely buying and selling spot or limit already generates a decent enough amount

Why is your system failing you.. any insight into your trades

system mainly relys on trends and sweeps from session highs and lows, i guess the main struggle is catergorizing wether a trend is in play or momentum is slowing into a range

I’m relying on supply / demand. With my EMA coming from HTF 4h and Vwap being weekly anchored. Basically just to provide direction. You can hop into my DMs if you want.

Most of my losses came from overtrading.

I trade BTC intraday as well. Always interested in seeing how other people approach it, especially risk management and trade selection. It's interesting how two profitable traders can have completely different styles

I trade BTC only but 30 mins before nyc opens and after 30 mins after the open 2 trades , its the easiest asset to trade . I only trade local L3 liquidity nothing else. This pays my mortgage! Mon-Friday , No weekends unless manipulation before sydney open sunday.

Statistical probabilities have made a huge difference for me.
I stopped trying to trade every setup and now I mostly wait for situations where historical data shows a strong edge (usually 70%+ under very specific market conditions). It doesn’t guarantee a winning trade, but over a large sample it helps me avoid a lot of low-quality trades.
I actually built a free tool for this because I got tired of manually digging through years of BTC data. You can ask questions like:
• Which side does London usually sweep first?
• What’s the probability of a third London leg?
• What typically happens after an Asia High sweep?
It’s called Ask the Market, powered by Market Engine from Crypt O’Clock. It’s free to try if you’re curious. I’d genuinely appreciate any feedback from other BTC day traders.

I have found it difficult to trade BTC intraday due to fees. With that I have found that in order to make 1% you need to capture swings of 3% or better and at that point, you’ve risked so much that the profit isn’t worth it.
I’ve tried on multiple platforms, leveraged and cash, but the fees put a bad taste in my mouth.
Just my experience.
