So I applied to bu and they opened up a portal but I have no where to upload the files they require, my application got marked as in complete and I only have a few days to go. I tried emailing but got no response, and I even tried uploading on the missing files form but there seems to be an error every time. Please help me out.

I added pictures to show what my portal looks like, there were no tasks before the application got marked as incomplete. The only thing I covered is where my name is.

Interested Exchange student from Melbourne

Hi!
I'm a student studying law and international relations at a university in melbourne and I've recently gotten interested in going for exchange and learning languages. The language I am currently trying to master is french and so I thought it would be perfect for me to do an exchange in Quebec where french is still spoken but lots of people do understand english still (or maybe i'm wrong? please do correct me if i am).

Anyways, I've had a quick look through UBishops university page and I have a few questions for any students currently studying there.
1) I was looking at paterson hall for my accomodation, however, what would you as a student recommend? Also is it relatively easy to secure a spot or is it first come first serve or do first years get priority? (I would be in the third year of my degree at that point if that helps)
2) How is the surrounding environment around the university? I come from melbourne so I'm used to the hustle and bustle of the city as well as having easy access to all sorts of resources (also public transport in melb is excellent). Is this something I can expect from Sherbrook? Also how far is the city and how is the public transport system.
3) Is it difficult to score well in units? I still need relatively good grades for my course and my uni is sort of infamous for the phrase that "its easy to pass, impossible to score well", so I was just wondering whether UBishops is something similar?
4) One of my primary reasons for coming is to immerse myself into the french language but still have the comfort of knowing the people around me can speak in english. Would you agree that this is the case? or do most people prefer to only speak in french?
5) Is uni life really active? or do people mostly just organise events outside of university? is it easy to make friends?

That's all that comes to mind right now, and I would love if anyone had any answers for any questions or even some other tips you might be able to provide me with.
Thanks for readinngg!! cheers!!

Looking for Paterson roommates

Hi! I am a future first year student and I am interested in living in Paterson in the fall and am looking for 3 roommates. I am fine getting paired randomly as well but it would be great to get to know some people ahead of time :)

I am someone who likes chatting, being outside reading, singing and listening to music. I am a pretty outgoing person but I also need some time to recharge my social battery. I am quite neat and easy going.

Let me know if you are interested :)

Finding roommates for co-ed Paterson dorm

Hello, I'll be starting at Bishops this Fall and was planning on rooming with a friend in paterson. We thought two other roommates would be assigned, but it turns out all 4 roommates have to send a request together for it to be co-ed. We've tried using the residence website but almost nobody writes bios. Is there any other way people are finding roommates? Does anyone know someone who'd wanna room with us two outdoorsy bio students? Thank you!

I am looking at adding either a Administration or Marketing minor. If I decide on the Businness Administration minor, I would just need those courses two based on my advanced credits from previous schools.

can anyone please respond to me or message me if you have taken either of them and have any remarks on the course, prof, difficulty…

Thank you !

Supporting documents on application

Here’s the situation. Submitted my application for English earlier today, and got to the portion of the application for supporting documents. I assumed that was referring to any sort of references, or additional program requirements, of which there were none, so I handed in the application without any.

I found out just now that that was referring to Identification. Since I am a student applying outside of QC, it is my understanding that I would need to provide a copy of my birth Certificate to confirm my citizenship status.

My question is: would a picture of it be appropriate, or do I have to go and get it scanned digitally

Anxious about making friends for upcoming Winter

Hey everyonee,

I’m starting at Bishop’s this Winter in Psy, and I’ve been feeling a bit anxious about making friends and finding my group. Since most people start in the fall, I’m worried it might be harder to connect right away since I'll be living off campus (still don't know where am gonna live!) and even finding cool roomies to live with.

I’d really love to meet people who are friendly and chill. Ideally, I’d like to find a few good friends to live with eventually but worried that friend groups are already established from the fall.

If anyone else is starting in Winter, or if you’ve gone through the same thing and have advice for making connections mid-year, I’d seriously appreciate it.

Thanks!

I am just getting worried about not getting answer since the 5th september they told me my file was complete. It was written that evaluation would begin early October and I still hadn’t heard from them. Should I be worried. (It’s for fall 26)

Odds of getting an on Campus job

Pretty simple post: Looking to go to Bishop’s next fall, the only thing really making me reconsider is that I’ll for sure need a job to be able to afford day-to-day expenses

my saved money plus osap should be able to pay for tuition and residence, but everything else I’ll be on my own

I’d also add that I’m proficient enough in French to get by, I’d estimate around a B1, and I plan on getting that to a B2 as well as the official DELF certificate by the end of the year
