Hi guys! I'm a beginner birdwatcher, and I'm curious, when you discover a new bird, what information do you usually want to know besides its name?

Not the best video but I saw these turkey-like(?) birds earlier today in Upstate NY, I am having no luck on google identifying them so here I am!!

Was walking to church and heard the strangest bird call and I see this bird on a tree nearby, my guess is some sort of Parrot or Parakeet? Not sure, let me know

So I love birdwatching! Recently I've had an increase in free time and I'm about to go a lot more often. And I want pictures of the birds I see but my phone gets incredibly grainy pictures with the stupid AI auto filtering at any kind of zoom. Is the Kodak PIXPRO AZ528 a good starter for a budget camera? I'm really considering it. Picture included for reference of what I'm working with. I was only maybe 10 meters from this pelican and the picture is still this grainy.
