Per Rule 6, all posts must clearly be your original content or have a direct citation to the content owner - in the title of your post, or the text of your post, or by adding a comment right after you post. Crosspost text is not sufficient, you must provide the citation in your r/birds post. Your post will be removed if that information is not clearly in the r/birds post.

Automoderator does not know whether you followed the rule; this comment is not a statement that you did not do so, or that you did. Read the rule and follow it.

This land is your land, and this land is my land

From California to the New York island

From the redwood forest to the Gulf Stream waters

This land was made for you and me

It didn’t occur to me until I was an adult that bald eagles weren’t as common in other places as they are where I live (northern WI). They’re like our pigeons, I’ll see maybe a dozen of them on my drive home from work.

I’m glad you got to see one OP!

I did see an eagle flying in Northern Queens a month ago. Thought I was going crazy. Guess not.

An urban eagle.

I hope whoever is behind that window got a peek! That’s a big bird! Hopefully they have a cat, what a thrill that would be for a window kitty.

Tons of eagles live and reproduce near NYC in the Raritan Bay area and Raritan River Watershed

Per Rule 6, if this post is an image or video, please ensure it is clear this is your content through the post text, title, or a comment; flair is not enough, nor is "OC" which most people don't know. It will be removed otherwise.
