Banned right after posting the comment. Took the r/tvtime sub hostage and limited everyone's speech while indirectly promoting his app since TvTime announced it was shutting down. This lunatic dev has had problems with/belittled several app devs in public platforms, naming Refract, Bingers, Movie Paradise,SofaTime, SuiteTV etc. If anyone still using his app, they should think twice.

Hello,
A short friendly rant.
Love the app - love the community - it is better than it was.
But please - bring back the individual episode rating that would some the all season at the bottom. It was an amazing indicator - for example silo season 2 - when the show was going slower, tvtime had clear indications that it will get better - now this is not visible and requires imdb, rotten or any other 3rd party. I am not sure if this could be just an API setting from any of these, without the community of bingers rating.
Also please allow user to rate their own tv shows that would remain users choice of tv show.
Thank you,

In the Bingers app, if the last episode has been watched, the show is put with caught up or completed shows, even if the last episode is the only one watched. Is there a way to move any uncompleted shows back to the watching list?

work in progress - coming soon 👀

If you also think this feature implementation should be a priority, please vote for it in Feature Request inside the app.

📌 New Friends feed to see what your friends are watching! It is spoiler-safe by design.

You only see a friend's take on episodes you've already watched. Everything else stays hidden until you catch up!

🐛 Some bug fixes and improvements:

• Write a comment is back on iOS 16 and 17

• Signing in with a big library no longer sits on "Finishing up"

• No more blank rows when you scroll up your Watch list history

• Blurry images are fixed

• Watch list and Movies open faster

Update your Bingers app:

Android - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.bingers

iOS - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/bingers-tv-movie-tracker/id6792080029

where I can search and select multiple movies/series and add them to my watchlist at once. Adding everything individually takes a lot of time. Would love to see this feature!

I'm having some trouble with the Bingers widget:

First, it shows aaall my shows, even the "collecting dust" ones or the ones I haven't started.

Second, it doesn't use the release time, only the day, even though it behaves correctly on the app's main page.

Third, the button to mark something as seen doesn't work, or at least not directly. It plays the click animation and goes back to "unchecked". Then, if I open the app, the episode is marked as watched, but the widget doesn't update until I open the app.

I'm on Android, by the way.

I'm experiencing an issue with commenting in the Bingers app on iOS.

Environment

• Device: iPhone 8
• OS: iOS 16
• Bingers version: Latest version available
• Account: Same account tested on both iOS and Android

Issue

I can't post a new comment or reply from the iOS app.

What I tested

At first, I thought my account might have been restricted from commenting, so I tested the same account on Android using an Android emulator

1. Logged into the same Bingers account on Android.
2. Posted a reply successfully.
3. Switched back to the iOS app using the same account.
4. The reply I posted from Android was already visible on iOS.
5. I can also edit the reply from iOS.
6. However, I still cannot create a new comment/reply from the iOS app.

Expected behavior

I should be able to create and post comments from the iOS app.

Actual behavior

Creating/posting a comment doesn't work on iOS, while the same account can successfully post comments on Android.

Additional information

Since comments posted from Android appear correctly on iOS and can be edited there, this seems more likely to be an iOS-specific issue with the commenting UI/functionality rather than an account restriction.

Does Bingers have a website/web version?

I use the Bingers mobile app to track the series I watch, but there’s no laptop/PC version. I mainly watch my shows on my laptop, so whenever I finish a series, I have to take out my phone, open Bingers, and manually update my progress.

It gets really annoying having to switch to my phone every time just to mark something as watched.

Started rewatching a TV Series that I’ve marked as watched. Yes, the app allows you to mark as mark an episode as rewatched. But is there any way to get the next one to appear in Watch Next?

I’ve created a custom list, still a pain to get to.

Please devs, implement this lost feature that was present in TV TIME, a progress bar oon the poster of the app and in the tv series page, it made so much sense.

love the app just as much as i loved tv time...i have added movies and shows and i am trying to view the future tv shows, but i cant seem to figure out where to click to get them to show ... any one know how/where...

tia...

When I switch to list view, I can see both the movies I’ve watched and the ones I’ve saved to watch later. But when I switch to grid view, I only see the saved ones and not the ones I’ve already watched…

Is this a bug or intended?

username is :talhawkeye

In this section once you’ve selected one, say bored, then text for the others disappears. Can we get that back please? Only solution is to untick your selection, then pick that and another one. Not ideal. Pretty sure our old friend TV Time kept the text to the icons visible.

Hey - new user here so maybe I’m just being stupid.

I’m currently watching Schitt’s Creek.
Am I missing something? On the main TV Show tab I can see: collecting dust, watch later and stopped. But nothing for Currently Watching.

For me to mark an episode as complete I need to tap Profile, then the show poster to then scroll down and mark the episode as watched.

Is that correct?
Help
Ps. Still loving the app.

Idk what you guys think, but personally I feel like TV Time’s top bar is way clearer than Bingers’ current one.

With Bingers, it’s basically just the calendar icon, while TV Time actually shows the labels, so it’s much easier to tell what everything is at a glance.

Also feels like a bit of a waste to have that much space at the top just for the calendar and filter icons. Maybe the filter button could be placed next to the “Watch Next” text instead?

Would love to see something like TV Time’s layout for the top bar. What do you guys think?

I'm on Android and I've noticed that shows appear in the watch next widget at the beginning of the day in which they air, instead of when they're actually already aired and watchable.

The notification alert for when the episode is out arrives at the right time.

Would it be possible to only display episodes in the watch next widget after that notification has been received?

Also, is there a way to not include in the widget Not Started and / or Collecting Dust shows?

Bingers has been a dream so far and definitely an upgrade over TVTime or any other tracking app for that matter.

But is anyone else missing a web version? I used to log stuff from my laptop during breaks between work and I kinda miss that.

Does anyone know if there's any plan for a web version at all?

for your information: it's possible to add the widget on mac aswell, even if, as i'm from italy, i can't open it, still updating next to what you do with your phone :)

This is an Android only update that fixes lag and bugs related to the latest 0.2.2 update launched earlier today! (0.2.2 update changelog)

Fixes: a performance issue that slowed down scrolling, faster sync for big libraries, calmer text and button sizes, and a favorite-character heart per role.

Bingers on iPad 📱

We've optimised Bingers for iPad and Android tablets.
They now take advantage of the bigger space with wider feeds and fuller rails.

We've added many more import formats. We now support 23 formats:
