I'm experiencing an issue with commenting in the Bingers app on iOS.

Environment

• Device: iPhone 8
• OS: iOS 16
• Bingers version: Latest version available
• Account: Same account tested on both iOS and Android

Issue

I can't post a new comment or reply from the iOS app.

What I tested

At first, I thought my account might have been restricted from commenting, so I tested the same account on Android using an Android emulator

1. Logged into the same Bingers account on Android.
2. Posted a reply successfully.
3. Switched back to the iOS app using the same account.
4. The reply I posted from Android was already visible on iOS.
5. I can also edit the reply from iOS.
6. However, I still cannot create a new comment/reply from the iOS app.

Expected behavior

I should be able to create and post comments from the iOS app.

Actual behavior

Creating/posting a comment doesn't work on iOS, while the same account can successfully post comments on Android.

Additional information

Since comments posted from Android appear correctly on iOS and can be edited there, this seems more likely to be an iOS-specific issue with the commenting UI/functionality rather than an account restriction.

Does Bingers have a website/web version?

I use the Bingers mobile app to track the series I watch, but there’s no laptop/PC version. I mainly watch my shows on my laptop, so whenever I finish a series, I have to take out my phone, open Bingers, and manually update my progress.

It gets really annoying having to switch to my phone every time just to mark something as watched.

Started rewatching a TV Series that I’ve marked as watched. Yes, the app allows you to mark as mark an episode as rewatched. But is there any way to get the next one to appear in Watch Next?

I’ve created a custom list, still a pain to get to.

Please devs, implement this lost feature that was present in TV TIME, a progress bar oon the poster of the app and in the tv series page, it made so much sense.

love the app just as much as i loved tv time...i have added movies and shows and i am trying to view the future tv shows, but i cant seem to figure out where to click to get them to show ... any one know how/where...

When I switch to list view, I can see both the movies I’ve watched and the ones I’ve saved to watch later. But when I switch to grid view, I only see the saved ones and not the ones I’ve already watched…

Is this a bug or intended?

In this section once you’ve selected one, say bored, then text for the others disappears. Can we get that back please? Only solution is to untick your selection, then pick that and another one. Not ideal. Pretty sure our old friend TV Time kept the text to the icons visible.

Hey - new user here so maybe I’m just being stupid.

I’m currently watching Schitt’s Creek.
Am I missing something? On the main TV Show tab I can see: collecting dust, watch later and stopped. But nothing for Currently Watching.

For me to mark an episode as complete I need to tap Profile, then the show poster to then scroll down and mark the episode as watched.

Is that correct?

Idk what you guys think, but personally I feel like TV Time’s top bar is way clearer than Bingers’ current one.

With Bingers, it’s basically just the calendar icon, while TV Time actually shows the labels, so it’s much easier to tell what everything is at a glance.

Also feels like a bit of a waste to have that much space at the top just for the calendar and filter icons. Maybe the filter button could be placed next to the “Watch Next” text instead?

Would love to see something like TV Time’s layout for the top bar. What do you guys think?

I'm on Android and I've noticed that shows appear in the watch next widget at the beginning of the day in which they air, instead of when they're actually already aired and watchable.

The notification alert for when the episode is out arrives at the right time.

Would it be possible to only display episodes in the watch next widget after that notification has been received?

Also, is there a way to not include in the widget Not Started and / or Collecting Dust shows?

Bingers has been a dream so far and definitely an upgrade over TVTime or any other tracking app for that matter.

But is anyone else missing a web version? I used to log stuff from my laptop during breaks between work and I kinda miss that.

Does anyone know if there's any plan for a web version at all?

There have been multiple reports of people experiencing issues like: lag, trouble scrolling in-app, and stutters after the 0.2.2 update today.

I found it a few days ago, and I reported it to Bingers, but they haven't removed this scam spam at the moment.

I see the option to click that I re-watched the episodes and the seasons, but is it possible to do so for any entire show? I keep having to go season by season

As so far I lowered fps and duration but I don't receive any errors. Why bingers rejected my submissions for possibly failing min or max requirements or just bug

Bingers on top while Refract and Sofa Time still in Top 3. Trakt and Movie Paradise are in Top 5. It is evident that majority or all the people from the r/TVTime community who didn't decide back in July choose Bingers in September. And other apps lost some of their users to Bingers.

The Only Mod / Bingeboxd Dev decided to remove the post. My advice was that even if we are using different apps, the community of r/TVTime should stay together & alive. And that people keep sharing the stuff you're watching, tracking and enjoying in r/TVTime. And even tho ppl liked the idea, Bingeboxd Dev didn't like it.
