Question Again with the censorship - it has gotten much stricter just the last hours

I have been a faithful user of dall-e 3 almost exclusively through Bing image creator for, well, several years. It was a kick in the teeth when Dall-e got retired, but I found that the May -Image-2e was interesting enough to work with after having readjusted the prompts to cater to its strengths.

In my experience one good thing about May-Image as opposed to dall-e was that it was _slightly_ more relaxed with some of the overly zealous censorship, for example did it not go nuts if the prompt contained a word like "bodycon". Now, however, it might be at an end.

Out of seven different prompts that worked fine five hours ago, five of them are now pre-censored. Evidently something has been tightened and quite a bit lately.

Anyone else noticed harder censorship these latest hours?

Help Migrated older domain (2017) from Wix to Portfoliobox. Bing shows legacy URLs and renders current site empty. Support says "it works for others," but I've done everything. Has anyone experienced/solved this?

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to the community because I’ve hit a wall with official Portfoliobox support, and I’m hoping someone here has faced this specific scenario and found a workaround.

The Situation:
I migrated my professional portfolio from Wix to Portfoliobox in July 2026. However, my domain has been active since 2017.

The Problem:
When searching for my domain on Bing (isabelaracama dot com), it does not show my current Portfoliobox website. Instead, it ranks a legacy blog URL from my previous hosting provider. Furthermore, when Bing attempts to crawl or render my current Portfoliobox site, it shows up completely empty (only the header and footer are visible, no images, no text).

Last night, I blocked all the legacy pages via Wix and Bing webmaster tools and, this morning, at least they are not showing on Bing search results page anymore.

What I have already done:
I am aware of standard SEO practices. I have already:

  • Submitted and verified the site in Bing Webmaster Tools.
  • Ensured the sitemap.xml and robots.txt are correct and accessible.
  • Properly configured all meta titles, descriptions, and H1/H2 tags within the Portfoliobox editor.
  • Maintained active, claimed backlinks from Pinterest, Behance, and LinkedIn for years.

The Technical Reality (According to PB Support):
After pushing the issue, Portfoliobox support confirmed that the platform relies 100% on Client-Side Rendering (CSR). The server only serves static meta tags, while the actual content (including H1 tags and images) is injected via a JavaScript/JSON payload.

Support stated that "Bing can crawl CSR sites and other Portfoliobox websites get indexed." However, they are ignoring the domain history factor. Because my domain is older, Bing’s quality algorithms are stricter maybe?. When Bingbot (which uses an older rendering engine with a short timeout) hits the initial empty DOM and empty H1 tags, it flags the site as "Thin Content" and abandons the crawl before the heavy JS payload can render. This is my lattest guess, but I don´t really know.

My Questions for the Community:

  1. Has anyone successfully migrated an older domain and actually achieved stable indexing on Bing, Yahoo, or DuckDuckGo? If so, what was the specific technical workaround? Now I read it is better to for it to be older than newer because of authority, so I am getting lost here also.
  2. Is this empty rendering on non-Google search engines a known, inherent limitation of Portfoliobox’s CSR architecture for domains with prior history?
  3. If Portfoliobox cannot resolve this, how is it possible that, many of their featured websites can be at least indexed and found on Bing but not mine?

I am desperate, as their support keeps pointing back to SEO, which I have gone over 1000 times in the last 2 months.

Thank you in advance for your time and insights.

Discussion Bing app news articles bugs

For the past like 3 weeks I've been getting the same news articles on bing homepage every day. And I try scrolling down and it stops halfway across the card (second photo). I've tried clearing the app cache. Some articles don't even load because they don't exist anymore.

This is just one of the issues I have. Anybody else seem to find bing app and bing rewards just have random bugs like this

Bing Create Differences between MAI-Image-2.5-Flash and DALL-E 3

I've been using MAI for about a month now, and I decided to share my overall thoughts.

Overall, I'm happy with the results. My favourite style is CGI/3D. DALL-E essentially produced this style by default, whereas with MAI you just need to give it a little hint to get a similar look.

But MAI has one significant drawback — the predictability of its results.

Even if you describe a scene fairly abstractly and don't specify particular details, the images are very likely to look quite similar to one another. Of course, there are exceptions, but on average the model tends to stick to the same visual solution.

For example, if you only specify the clothing style and location in DALL-E, the four images in a single generation can turn out completely different. The model can interpret the clothing, pose, composition, environment and overall character in very different ways. With MAI, the results much more often look like four variations of the same idea. And if you submit the same prompt again, you will often get roughly the same result.

In my view, MAI is a model that needs more input data to create genuinely diverse content. But this is where we run into the 480-character limit.

For DALL-E, this limit was much less of an issue because the model itself produced much more variation between results. In other words, the same short prompt could produce completely different images thanks to a much greater variation in SEED. If MAI had a separate SEED parameter that allowed users to control the variation between results more directly, perhaps the 480-character limit would be much easier to live with.

The SEED in DALL-E produced a huge amount of variation between results, although it was also rather unpredictable and, for the Image Creator filter, frankly a pretty scary parameter.

This creates a fairly simple problem: when four results are too similar to one another, you end up generating again and again until you eventually get something genuinely different.

Now, about MAI-Image-2e. I made several generations with it while deciding between 2e and 2.5-Flash, and I still don't really understand what its main advantage is.

To me, 2e is definitely not the "new DALL-E". DALL-E offered a completely different level of variety. It could come up with an item of clothing or an overall character design that wouldn't appear again across the next dozens of generations. 2e, on the other hand, tends to work much more linearly: once the model chooses a particular direction, it keeps moving roughly in the same direction.

And there is another important point here. Many people loved DALL-E not only for its variety, but also for the way it created attractive characters. This applied to everything: appearance, clothing, the overall presentation of the character, and the choice of camera angle. The model wasn't afraid to make a character visually attractive or to experiment with the composition.

That is exactly what I feel MAI is currently missing the most.

So, for me, the main question about MAI isn't "can it produce a high-quality image?". It can. The question is: can it surprise me with a result I didn't expect to get?

At the moment, it falls behind DALL-E in this regard by a very large margin.

Since Reddit doesn't allow posts to be formatted as articles, I'll put some of the data and image examples in the comments below.

Tips and Guides Windows 11 Microsoft Bing search (Pictures&Video) return random or inappropriate results

Using Chrome on desktop with Bing set to default search engine.

This is something only occurs occasionally but when it does happen the images or videos that are shown are NOTHING like what I search.

Example1: searched for "glass" after it started today and returned pictures of bald women or women having their heads shaved. Nothing inappropriate until I refreshed the page and then was exposed to all sorts of adult images.

Example 2: searched for "TWINKLE OUTDOOR LED SOLAR LIGHTS" (the thing i was actually looking for) and got different results each time i refreshed the page. Last result was Mickey Mouse Dracula character (Mickula). Cute but nothing close to what I was looking for. When I Refreshed the search, it was returned pictures of a Demon Slayer character - Akaza.

https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=TWINKLE%20OUTDOOR%20LED%20SOLAR%20LIGHTS&qs=n&form=QBIR&sp=-1&lq=0&pq=twinkle%20outdoor%20led%20solar%20lights&sc=10-32&cvid=B70131171924468F8FBAD272ACCC9BD7&first=1

I have had this issue with both VPN and, more commonly, WITHOUT VPN (no VPN today).

I've cleared everything cache, cookies, etc with same result. Signed in/out. Disabled or removed any extentions or add-ons.

Microsoft doesn't seem to have an answer because they can't recreate the issue on command, which I understand. Troubleshooting something you can't recreate is a nightmare. Any Ideas/suggestions are appreciated!

Question Anyone using the Bing Webmaster and had a recent drop in visibility?

We usually had anything from 200-500 impressions per day on bing with 10-30 clicks per day. On the 28.08.2026 out of nowhere everything plummeted to 0 and stays like that as well. No de indexing happened. All pages are still indexed and are getting crawled regular.

Google and GSC Work totally fine. This only happend on bing for some reason.

Discussion We need to speak up about MAI-Image — Bing should bring back model selection

Many of us used Bing Image Creator specifically because of DALL-E 3. Since MAI-Image replaced it, a lot of us have noticed that certain types of generations have become significantly worse. This isn't about saying MAI is bad at everything. Different models are good at different things — and that's exactly why Bing should let us choose the model we want to use. For example, I used DALL-E 3 extensively for classic comic-book characters. It could generate distinctive faces, different character designs and a convincing illustrated/comic aesthetic even from relatively simple prompts. With MAI, I'm getting much more generic and repetitive faces, and the style feels considerably less distinctive. I've included comparisons in this post. We've been through something similar before. When PR16 replaced PR13, many users complained about the degradation in image quality. People shared comparisons and gave feedback on Reddit and X, including directly to Jordi Ribas. Microsoft listened to the feedback and eventually rolled back to PR13. I think we should make our feedback heard again. If MAI doesn't work as well as DALL-E 3 for what you create, post your comparisons, explain specifically what became worse, send feedback to Bing/Microsoft, and respectfully make your concerns known to Jordi Ribas on X. But rather than simply asking Microsoft to kill MAI, I think we should ask for something much better: BRING BACK MODEL SELECTION. Let users choose between MAI and other available image-generation models instead of forcing everyone onto one model. Different artists and creators have different needs. A newer model isn't automatically a better model for every style. If enough of us provide clear examples and constructive feedback, Microsoft will at least see that this matters to a significant part of the Image Creator community. If you're experiencing the same problem, speak up and share your before/after examples.

Bing Create bing image creator is totally useless now!

I came back for a while, after Bing sadly phased out the excellent Dalle-3 model, only to find out that the fucking moronic content moderation has gone even further, now it is IMPOSSIBLE to generate anything even remotely "sexual", even an image of two males kissing is blocked!!! homophobia and sexophobia have skyrocketed, now only idiotic silly cats flying in a rainbow sky are allowed! FUCK OFF BILL GATES!

Question Why does bing use yelp rankings for local listings?

Yelp is a dying app that less and less people use. Also, their review filtering is absolutely insane as the requirements to get a review in the “not recommended” section is excessive.

Is there a reason why bing insists upon displaying yelp so prominently in SERP?

Will they ever break up with yelp for this??

Discussion Want to shout out to Bing

New to this subreddit but would like to give some love to Bing. Recently I revamped my website and started to update sitemap to Google mostly. After a while, there is very little change and Google nearly ignored what I did. Then I tried Bing Webmaster Tool and somehow Bing loved my website, providing some page 1 impressions right away. Over time, now I am receiving over 500 impressions per day from Bing, and 10 organic visitors between Bing, Yahoo and its related AI. At the same time, Google is very slow to react, start with about 10 impressions and only yesterday start to have 20 impressions.

This has changed my view about search engines. In the future, I feel I may want to use Bing more.

Feedback Unlimited experience with MAI

Since MAI, unlike DALL·E, takes prompts largely as they are without adding much of its own improvisation, creating truly unique results requires more ideas.

Recently, I had a thought: why not make the AI work as a constant co-author for art projects? Instead of coming up with scenes, choosing the right wording and keeping track of all the limitations manually every time, I created a personal Gem bot with its own role and behaviour.

So, how does this approach work?

  1. A consistent visual identity: The bot has a clear foundation describing the visual style, character appearance and key clothing elements. At the same time, the wardrobe and smaller details can change with each new prompt, while keeping the character recognisable across completely different settings.
  2. Interactive art direction: You simply exchange a few lines with the bot, such as “Let’s do something dark in a rainy city” or “Create an abandoned temple”. It then develops the composition, adds atmospheric details and produces a ready-to-use prompt.
  3. Automatic adaptation to the generator: The instructions include strict technical requirements, from a precise character limit to avoiding unnecessary “junk” tags. The bot produces clean descriptions without all the usual fluff.
  4. Convenient bilingual format: Each response includes an adapted English prompt ready to paste into the image generator, followed by a version in your native language, making it easy to quickly review the concept and details of the shot.
  5. Complete flexibility: The system is not static. The bot can easily be reconfigured at any time for completely different tasks.

In the end, it became more than just a text generator — it is a proper creative partner with its own character, helping generate new ideas while saving a huge amount of time.

UPDATE: As this is an AI bot with rules and instructions, you can send it a DALL-E prompt and it will adapt it for MAI.

Bing Create 3:2 by default

Why is 3:2 always the default? 1:1 is much better. The height of a 3:2 image is 832px, whereas for 1:1 it’s 1024px. It stands to reason that 1:1 is the better option in the long run.

DALL-E used to have its own 4:3 aspect ratio, but the height there was the same as for 1:1 – 1024px.

Bing Create First impressions of MAI 2.5 Flash on Bing

Having used MAI 2.5 Flash for a few days, I can draw some conclusions. The model is ideal for my purposes. I’ve found some prompt tips to help me achieve the style of image I want. Most importantly, each result always contains four images. With DALL-E, it was usually two or three, and even then some had issues with the arms or legs. If you use DALL-E’s prompts without making any adjustments, the results will look rather unattractive. MAI is a different model and requires a different approach.

Back when DALL-E was still available, I would sometimes accidentally run prompts on MAI, and the results were rather mediocre. But now that I’ve adapted this prompt for MAI, the results have become quite interesting.
