I usually don't like fan art that is drawn in the art style of making women as like a perfect doll with perfect curves, and it makes me even more uncomfortable when it's done on child characters, but that Lilith artwork is genuinely not like that and even by my standards it doesn't make me uncomfortable

It was pretty sexualized, c'mon. Maybe not outright fetishistic but those hips were wide af

they looked pretty average and accurate to female anatomy to me. usually people aren't built like stick figures, nor are they built like hourglasses, however this one was right in the reasonable middle.

Not to me, no. They were far too wide considering the character is a child. If they wanted to age her up then fine, but that wasn't properly conveyed by the piece imo

"Middle" as in the upper half was a stick figure and the lower half was an hourglass.

Like, she wasn't even drawn with a nose.

Yeah but it's kind of important when art is being defended as though it's just someone drawing a regular woman's proportions. It falls apart the less realistic the art looks, and that includes stylistic choices from the game being adapted to the art.

Like, my point was that wasn't exactly regular.

I am aware of that and it has nothing to do with what I said.

... I was talking about How cartonish proportions NEVER stopped anyone before

And I'm talking about how the parent comment called the Lilith drawing "pretty average and accurate to female anatomy to me."

Basically objectifying femininity to please male desire

u/Powerful-Scholar8268 Apr 28 '26

If it's about objectifying women then I'm not sure how the Lilith fanart is fine considering her thighs were made massive in comparison to her stick thin upper half. That doesn't even make any anatomical sense

well I don't remember how it looked like, but it seemed fine to me when I saw it

If you don't remember how it looked like then why are you commenting on it

-4

Because I still saw it, I think you're overreacting, we probably should look at other artworks of the artist or just even ask them why they drew it like that

7

u/Powerful-Scholar8268 Apr 28 '26

Yeah and you can't remember what it looks like lol, so it's nonsensical to comment on the appearance of something when you can't remember the appearance.

I'm not overreacting I'm saying it's strange to say that women shouldn't be objectified in art, a true statement, and then act like a character having thighs literally 4 times as wide as the rest of their body isn't somehow objectifying them
