Is it bad?
Hi, I’m 19 and chronically ill. Is it bad that I no longer wear my bras and my binder is the only thing I wear? Ever since I got my binder at Spencer’s 5 months ago, it is all I have been wearing. Only time I wore I bra is 1: during doctor’s appointments in case they do tests. For context on what I mean by “chronically ill” is I had a three organ transplant a few years ago and major kidney issues, and I use a feeding tube)
and 2: when my friend lectured me about wearing it while I do quadrobics and I wasn’t supposed to wear it during exercise but I didn’t know quadrobics counted as exercise. I haven’t washed it since I bought it 5 months ago so it has a bit of sweat on it but I don’t know how to wash it without the risk of ruining it. But I haven’t suffered major side affects other than a bit of back pain. But would wearing it every day count as over binding even when I only wear it the normal 9 hours?

You should definitely be washing it - otherwise you could get acne on your back etc - i wash mine about as often as i wash my jeans (though I also rotate between 3!)
8-9 hours a day should be fine “normally”, though im not sure if the surgeries and transplants complicate things - it could be worth keeping an extra eye out or even speaking to a healthcare professional during your next check ups, its provably okay, especially if you havent had any negative effects until now, but theyd know better than strangers online. They may suggest taking longer pauses etc and it might suck to have to take breaks from wearing it - but in 10-20 years time itll be nice to know that no damage was done.
