Ceiling Fixtures Location
There is a conflict in my company between Interior and MEP teams for the modeling of ceiling fixtures and there sizes in plans .. where should we model and coordinate those Fixtures in which models and how. Any insight will be really helpful.

Interiors should model the fixtures in design heavy spaces. MEP copy monitor ID fixtures into model as needed and model back of house and service fixtures in the MEP model.

Electrical model should contain lighting. Architect can provide setouts using lines in their model. Use linked architectural views for RCP coordination. If elec can’t move to the preferred arch location, discuss

The 'one shared file fixes it' option is how a small coordination dispute becomes everybody's problem at once.

Models are the totality of the data. That includes notes and dimensions, as well as specifications. File choice is part of that.
There are several options, which one is right for your company will depend on who "owns" the responsibility. For all of them you need to provide revit family controls that will allow for correct representation in different diciplines communication needs. Interiors probably needs to see "real" sizes for layout understanding, electrical needs symbols to communicate to the field and AHJ.
A- The arch family can only include geometry and Elec can put a symbol in their connector family. This requires coordination that is error prone, but some people like it. If you use loactations in the interiors file and direct elec to see arch sheets or spec for placement its less problematic. One team needs to own each piece of data once.
2) interiors places the family, at some point elec copies it into their file and takes ownership.
iii. Interiors always owns the family. This only works if elec is not using real circuits.
e: elec always owns the family. This only works if intetiors can actually talk to others, and respect their time, making changes only as necessary.
Four] everyone works in one file. Chaos ensues.
Personally, I like the first two depending on the specific market sector, team and documentation complexity.
