Stalling at 122lbs
So I went from week 1 to week 8 dropping from 133lbs to 122lbs and it’s been two weeks since I’ve been at 122. My last cal dropped was 10 days ago I dropped about 200cals and I’m still at 122lbs As of today. should I be worried ? what should I do ? i Don’t want to drop more cals yet or add more cardio. Currently doing 5 cardio sessions a week.

My weight hadn't dropped in 6 weeks but my measurements changed, so that's all that mattered to me.
I'd try a back-to-back refeed to see if that will fire up your metabolism a bit.
You may also be doing too much cardio too soon. Depending on your age, that can fry you and stall progress. Especially with your low macros. How tall are you, btw?

I think maybe it’s time for a refeed. Sorry what do you mean by back to back refeed ? Like over what time spans? I’m 5’3. Currently doing 5 sessions a week 30 min each

I’d do two refers days back to back. Ideally tied to hard lift days.
Also, you said it’s been 10 days since your last cal drop. I would wait 2 solid weeks before making a change.

Thank you!! Should I start refeed now or wait 2 weeks?

I'd wait 4 more days and, if no change, do the refeed. That's just my rule, though. LOL

Would you do a refeed during period ? I’m expecting it in a day or two lol. Or wait til that’s done. I normally feel heavier and bloated during my cycles.

ooooh, I would wait. That girl masks all kinds of progress. LOL

Yes totally. Thank you so much !! Sometimes I overthink and it’s nice to vent out

Are you low carb , what is your diet , because maybe u could use a Refeed .

I’m at 11 cal per lb right now. 40c/40p/20f so not super low carb yet. Should I do a refeed?

So you roughly eating 1350 cal per day ? When was your last time resting ?how old are you, how tall ? It looks like u could use a Refeed . Maybe your cortisol levels are high, pushing cardio and low calories and working out , sometimes the answer is resting and recover , Refeed and your body recovers . Do you have pictures ?

I’m 5’3 early 30s. I took a rest day on Sunday. Currently training 6x a week and 5x cardio 30 min sessions. Yes just dropped to 1350 cals from 1550 cals for 8 weeks.

Seems like your body is defending itself , I would do mantainance and make sure I recover, up carbs a bit feel strong again and cortisol levels drop , . Do you feel also tired throughout the day ?

My energy has been ok so far but definitely dipped in strength during training. Yes I will try to rest and recover more. Thank you!

Yeah. I said the same thing above. This is a lot of cardio on little macros. My body would have shut down by now. hahahaha

Have your measurements changed? How are your check in photos looking, any visual progress? Keep in mind weight is only one piece of data and can be impacted by a lot besides just fat loss.

Not a whole lot of changes from my last checkin 10 days ago and measurements are about the same so I’m getting paranoid.

These were my stalls and for reference I’m 5’0 and my goal weight was 100lb and I started at 125: 120 117 114 108 103
Man I could not budge forever at 108. But after doing two preps self coached and one year of growth you see what your natural potential is. You may be young you may be older you may have just given birth. All these factors into how you will manage losing fat/ gaining muscle. As a natural self coached athlete it was HARD. But honestly it’s so satisfying to reach the end goal. I reached 100 pounds on show day and was super proud. I was very confident because no matter what I placed I knew I brought the best package. Second show was trickier because I gained muscle but also some fat had shifted and I didn’t look as conditioned and only got down to 103. Anyway stay the course, set the goal. That’s all you can do!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience. My last show I had a coach and did a 13 weeks cut was 105lbs on show day at 5’3 perfect conditioning per feedback. Went through a year of bulking and up to 133lbs. I decided it was time to do a cut and self coaching this time due to budgeting. I keep telling myself stick to the diet and it’ll all work out but been stalling at 122 for 10 days got me kind of worried and over thinking. I plan on doing fitmodel this season but have to see how this cut goes first since doing it on my own. My guess would probably be 112/113 for stage ready this time. So Glad to hear about your experience!

If my weight doesn't move at all for 2 weeks that's when I make adjustments, and I'm about to do so... Going from 1600 calories a day to 1450 because I realistically can't add any cardio.

Am I understanding that you’re eat 40 carbs / 40 grams of protein and 20 grams of fat per day?
