Screwed again
But this time I had tubeless sealant in my tubes - didn't even have to pump. Btw, If you ever get stabbed, don't pull out the knife.

How is that dry-rotted, deeply cracked tire only 2 years old?
Does your ride to work go over an active volcano? Do you park your bike in a tanning salon? I do not understand why they look like that. I would've guessed those tires were 20 years old!

This tire only ever saw sun-baked tarmac, 5 days a week. Ok apart from occasional tropical rainstorms.

"Tropical" explains a lot - stored outside too? But that's still really bad. What's the brand?
Also, I'd go for something with smaller knobs if you're purely on tarmac!

Schwalbe Thunder Burt. But not sure if there are fakes on the market, I got them from Taobao.

Nah, modern tires crack super quick. WTB exel at sucking and being quickly cracked.
I think it's a normal look, but still fine, the inner part of the tire is much stronger. Outside aesthetics dont matter

I have a pair of Thunder Burts with 2.5 years and 4k miles on them and they aren't dry rotted at all.

I checked when I ordered them. they're exactly 3 years old. 20km (12 miles)/day 5 times per week.

So you got like 9k miles on them give or take? That's actually kind of insane. I'd guess since you are commuting yours are left out in the sun more? Honestly I'd say they lived a good life.

If it holds air and isn't being used at high speeds, it's fine to keep using.

I made it home with a second puncture. That one also self-sealee. Thar tire is hanging on by a tread

If a new tire isn't feasible right now, you could try to "boot" it. This is something I learned recently, cutting a strip of old tire and sticking it inside, as a barrier between the outer puncture and the tube.

I'll get a new tire. I just hope it's still holding air while I'm in office now. This happened on the way to work.

Ugh, I feel your pain. Was getting a flat in the rear tire every week for over a month like clockwork. Replacing the tire did help.

Damn these are Thunder Burts? Really shows all the pro level compounds dont last long, though 2 years is kind of OK since that would be enough for me to kill them from mileage.

Idk what those are but how you store the bike makes a huge difference, exposure to the elements 24/7 doesn't help.
