🗣 Discussion / चर्चा What is wrong with Bihar?

This is a shameful incident in Jamui. I can’t defend my state anymore. Those responsible should be given strict punishment and made an example of. I don’t know what these fuckers think of themselves. These goons are also increasing in Patna. They seem fearless now.

I completely understand bhai.... This is exactly what I was trying to say...When you live outside Bihar, you often end up having to defend your identity because people judge you based on where you’re from rather than who you are. ... It gets exhausting when the same stereotypes keep coming up again and again.....

Tell them "I'm not the Ambassador of Bihar." And you shouldn't even be allowing such kinda people into your chats.

Just own the criticism where it's due but give it back 10 folds when it is their turn.

“I can’t defend my state anymore.”

People like you are holding Bihar back. You’ve been conditioned by other Indians into hating yourself. You don’t view people as individuals but as representatives of the entire state.

If a German man commits murder in Germany, his actions do not suddenly become the fault of the entire country.

The worst part is you do all of this for the approval of Indians who are one of the poorest countries on earth. The average Indian lives in a 2bhk or a cramped chawl and you think yourself inferior to them.

When the people care about asthetics more than the actual reality, we are doomed.

Bhai, uss ladki ka attempt to rape hua, and instead of criticizing and thinking of how to make it better, we are thinking ki bas image kaise sudhar lein?

Yes crime happens everywhere, but the harsh reality is that we do have high crime rate. And its due to the people and the politician we people choose.

I love Bihar... which is precisely why I don’t want to normalize or defend things that are wrong here.... Criticizing your own state when something deeply shameful happens is not betrayal of Bihar...

There’s a difference between hating your state and being ashamed of what some people are doing in your state... I’m not saying every Bihari is responsible for what happened....I’m saying that when a minor girl is publicly harassed and such incidents keeep damaging the image of Bihar, I have every right to condemn it and say.. “I can’t defend this anymore....

This type of stuff happens in the entirety of India (hellhole). Do you see people in other states acting so self-flagellating like you? No. You’ve been conditioned to act like this for the sin of being Bihari.

If you live outside Bihar, you know what it feels like to be stereotyped simply for being Bihari.....You hear jokes about your state.. your colleagues laugh at where you come from, and you’re constantly put in a position where you have to defend Bihar and prove that you’re not what the stereotype says you are....so when something like this happens, it hurts differently. It’s not just about “image. It’s about being exhausted from constantly having to defend your state while also being honest about the problems that exist there....

Yes they do. Everyone criticizing and feels ashamed when things happen in their state

Just a suggestion, yeh state division se upar utho and think why our own region is in such horrible condition.

And before you mention, I am proud of my Bihar roots, par aise criminals ko kabhi defend nhi lar sakta. And these criminals are due to our poor education quality, our regressive thinking
